The Obama administration will seek to reinstate the assault weapons ban that expired in 2004 during the Bush administration, Attorney General Eric Holder said today. "As President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons," Holder told reporters.

"I think closing the gun show loophole, the banning of cop-killer bullets and I also think that making the assault weapons ban permanent, would be something that would be permitted under Heller," Holder said. "And besides, you all are just a abunch of cowards anyway, so this should be easy to accomplish."

“Either that or the old teflon-coated ones” No, the 1986 definition of Armour Piercing Bullets relates to the core, not the jacket or any particular jacket coating.

No, he is talking about the Kennedy Amendment that would have banned ANY cartridge that would penetrate SOFT body armor. This includes practically ALL rifle cartridges.

Anybody who’s stupid enough to use the phrase “cop-killer bullets” should be forced to resign from a law enforcement position. It shows a clear lack of understanding of both firearms and law enforcement. A .22 short is a cop killer if you shoot them in the forehead.

Washington D.C. has the most draconian gun control laws in the U.S.

Guess what city has the highest gun deaths per year in the U.S.?

Washington D.C. at about 300 per 100,000 population.
Coming to a city near you!

No, he’s talking about ANY pistol bullet that can pentrate a police vest. If its ever been chambered in a pistol, it’s a pistol round. You know, common pistol rounds like .223, 7.62x39, 30-30 wcf, 7mm’08, 308, 22 mag, etc.

You might not realize it, but in their mind, these all qualify as pistol rounds that can penetrate a vest.

Cop Killer Bullet = Any bullet. I’ve seen it in reference to FMJ, HP, SP. About the only thing I haven’t seen it refer to is Shotshells.
