Plenty of good private Christian schools out there. You want to make religion part of your kid’s education - send your kids there - it’s your choice. I don’t want it forced on my kids. That’s my choice; that’s why my kids go to a public school. Pretty basic stuff.

Wear a scarf, and claim you're praying to Allah, and you can have prayer meetings throughout the school day. Come up with specific requirements, such as a room without an instructor present, as that might interfere with your religious practices, and you can open up your bibles that have a Koran cover on them, and share with each other the miracles God has given to us.

God isn't banned from school, neither is a Christian God, only the Christian religion. Inclusiveness, in the opinions of the re-educated liberals who know better than the rest of us, means excluding the dominate society in the name of multiculturalism. A club that celebrates abstinence from sex is seen as being critical of homosexuals in their twisted minds, so instead, call it a recovery club that swears off drugs for now on, and the doors open.

Want to have a patriotic club? Call it the Immigrant's Alliance, and celebrate what made this country great, running away from the oppression of belief to a country that embraced freedoms, well, unless you're celebrating the freedoms of the majority, there you're just being exclusive of others and should be oppressed.

Just like the tea parties that are happening across America, it's time for the same revolutions in our schools, where students throw off the shackles of liberal education and embrace the freedoms our forefathers came here for. A true civics lesson for our youth about how government is for the people, by the people, and not a dictatorship of untried ideas.

It's a clash of worldviews.

The secular worldview has been chosen by the government and is relentlessly promoted in government schools.

People who have (for instance) a Christian worldview are not proposing that their worldview become dominant in public schools, or rammed down the throats of your children. All Christians want is the freedom to aknowledge, within a public school building, that they have a worldview that differs from the secular worldview promoted so actively by the government schools.

Currently, the Christian views of Christian taxpayers are not welcome in the buildings paid for by those taxpayers.

I say close down all the government schools and let people pay for schools that suit their own worldview.

The divine name was a four-letter word in Moses’ time too.

I guess you haven’t been in a school lately, Jim. Every other sentence starts with “OhmyGod”

“OhmyGod, did you see her outfit? I mean OhmyGod it was just terrible.”

I don’t think anyone’s “forcing” religion upon them, but this country was founded on the principles of Freedom of Religion and the ability to open worship. Schools tend to regard christian beliefs as a dirty little secret that should be hidden. Well, except for Easter and Christmas because those are days off for them.

Seems like "Freedom Of Religion" is become "freedom from religion".

(Unless, of course, one is muslime)

Well, you know you can’t teach true history without religion, as it is so much a part of why people did things down through the ages. This opens it all up as a way to teach history from the liberal/socialist/communist/fascist point of view. Talk about spin!

"What's happened is [that] the elitists -- the people who run American society, from the public education system to certain governmental institutions and figures -- have basically decided that God is irrelevant to public discussion,"

It's quite simple really.

Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion.

Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious" crutch.

Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in schools.

Present homosexuality, degeneracy, promiscuity as normal, natural, healthy.

Get control of schools. Use them for socialism and current communist propaganda.

Hey Appy,

You are so right on! I had to break myself of the habit, it’s so pervasive in our culture now, got’s it’s own freakin acronym. I told my grandson recently how offensive it really was to say that to the Lord and that was really taking his name in vain unless you said “Oh my God” followed with a prayer. I told him, when you catch yourself saying it without forethought, quickly say, “I praise Your holy name”, and you’ll be off the hook, lol.

Yeah, but we still have to pay for the public school even if we use a private school.

It’s like being forced into a government health insurance plan that only has crappy doctors. You’ve already paid for the crappy doctor, now you have to pay for the good doctor on top of that.

The problem here is the forcing is in the other direction; schools are being forced to evict God out of fear of lost funds, not some grand epistomological insight.

What I've wondered for years is, how can a minority
subculture dominate the majority culture in this county.

Homosexuals crawl out of the gutters and start demanding
that we accept their despicable life style or else.

Reprobate minds in government that don't wish to retain God in their knowledge,(fools), dictate what can and cannot
be taught to our children in the public schools, schools that we pay
for with our tax dollars.

The subculture dominates the entertainment industry, music
and film industry and also gives the news media their marching
orders about what is news worthy and what isn't.

You can't teach students in public school true American History if GOD IS IRRELEVENT!

OUR VERY CONSTITUTION IS GOD INSPRIED.

The absence of God in our knowledge is why we are in the
situation that we are in today. And the situation is doomed, if we don't right this ship.

The same part of the Constitution the prevents the establishment of a state religion prevents the government from supressing religion.

The antitheists seek to make atheism the defacto state religion.

The wildly successful Christian film ‘Facing the Giants’ was given a PG-13 rating by the Hollywood ratings group because they said “Jesus” too many times.

Are you referring to the Winter and Spring Breaks?

Forbidden, unless you add “dam*” after God or add an “H.” to the middle of the name of the Savior of the world.
