No stake president — which is what Romney was — could lie his way into that post. He was surrounded by people who knew exactly what kind of man he was. There has never been any hint of scandal surrounding Romney or his sons, your nasty slurs and attempts to diminish his character notwithstanding.
Have people lied to get temple recommends? Sure. To their everlasting condemnation. But the people who appointed Mitt a Stake President knew what kind of man he was.
