Is the Republican Party fomenting rebellion among the armed forces as a political tactic?

Alan Keyes' rant that soldiers should refuse orders given by President Obama has produced at least one tangible example. World Net Daily reports that Scott Easterling a U.S. soldier on active duty in Iraq has called President Obama an "impostor" in a statement in which he affirmed plans to join as plaintiff in a challenge to Obama's eligibility to be commander in chief.

The statement was publicized by California attorney Orly Taitz who, along with her Defend Our Freedom Foundation, is working on a series of legal cases seeking to uncover Obama's birth records and other documents that would reveal whether he meets the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.

"As an active-duty officer in the United States Army, I have grave concerns about the constitutional eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama to hold the office of president of the United States," wrote Scott Easterling in a "to-whom-it-may-concern" letter.

"Until Mr. Obama releases a 'vault copy' of his original birth certificate for public review, I will consider him neither my Commander in Chief nor my President, but rather, a usurper to the Office – an impostor," his statement said.

WND reported yesterday that U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., said during a meeting with constituents in Cullman County he has never seen proof the new president was born in Hawaii.

"Well, his father was Kenyan and they said he was born in Hawaii, but I haven't seen any birth certificate," Shelby said. "You have to be born in America to be president."

Recently President Obama’s picture was removed from a base commissary in Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, prompting a challenge by employees as it was allegedly removed after one customer complained noting Obama’s race.

While this may not be a trend, it is noteworthy that the hostility is so openly practiced by those sworn to uphold the Constitution. As President, Ronald Reagan started the practice of treating the military as an adjunct to the Republican Party. Senator Jesse Helms warned President Clinton that if he visited a military base in North Carolina he may be shot and President George W. Bush routinely used members of the military as props during public relations tours.

I read the headline...so where is the story to go with it? I can see that they are somewhat related, but the headline is a serious leap from the story itself.

Defending the Constitution is now "fomenting rebellion"? If so, so be it.

Let's roll...

At least Obama’s eligibility is finally getting some press...LOL. Of course, the paranoid reporter has to create a ‘conspiracy’ in order to combat Obama’s very real conspiring to hide his COLB!

You BEAT me to the punch.

NEVER have I seen such an inept, spineless, incompetent bunch of bozo’s in my life. Spineless losers, all of them. If they found leadership that even came close to that bumbling inspector Clouseau, they might someday luck into winning an election. A dead clock gives the right time twice a day due to happenstance

so what do the “pubbies” do ... they march out Mclame and Grahmnesty to respond to the Magic Negro, oh mighty savior of all ..... talk about loser maroon’s ...

The more rebellion against this destructive, unpatriotic administration, the better.

And? It's an oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." Not an oath to the President, a politician or political party.

That’s quite a stretch to equate a constitutional right to access the courts to a refusal of orders. And anyway, I would think that a soldier has the right to the knowledge that those above him, including the President, are in the chain of command according to the Constitution. As someone who has sworn to uphold the Constitution, he has a duty to question the qualifications of someone who gives him genuine reason to doubt those qualification.

Just a thought.....some 50 years ago and idiot named Kruschev was the commie dictator of the Soviet Union. He threatened to “bury us” via a communist takeover. Had he seriously tried we would have destroyed him. Now we are in the mist of a socialist commie takevover, aided by an ignorant electorate........how much are we expected to take........?

and obama pushing for the GI Bill for his Acorn volunteers in his simulated state of the union speech is not?

remeber obama wants a civilian force to counter the military.

That is why, last night, he was pushing the absurdity of giving community organizers the same benefits as soldiers.
