CONTENTS OF FEB. 16TH MEETING SUMMARY
I. LETTER OF DECLARATION II. FEDERAL TO DO'S III. STATE TO DO'S IV. INDIVIDUAL TO DO'S
The following LETTER OF DECLARATION has been signed by just under 1,000 people over the past 8 days. Print out a copy, fill it with names and signatures (even on the back) and mail it to : 1618 Scenic Loop, Fairbanks, AK 99709, so we can boldly stand together. Let it be known that we, the people of Alaska, stand in recognition of the true principle that whenever a government abandons the purpose for which we have created it and even becomes hostile towards that which it was once a defender of, it is no longer a fit steward of the political power that is inherent in the people and lent to this government with strict conditions. These conditions are clearly defined in the United States Constitution and understood by the common man. Furthermore, to the extent that our government violates these conditions, they nullify their own authority, at which point it is our right and duty, not as subjects but as sovereign Americans, to entrust this power to new stewards who will not depart from the laws we have given them. This being the case, let it be known that should our government seek to further tax, restrict or register firearms or otherwise impose on the right that shall not be infringed, thus impairing our ability to exercise the God-given right to self-defense which precedes all human legislation and is superior to it, that the duty of us good and faithful people will not be to obey them but to alter or abolish them and institute new government laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form as to us shall seem most likely to effect our safety and happiness.

FEDERAL TO DO'S On the Federal level, we are trying to get Don Young to "cosponsor HR833 to abolish the Federal Reserve." This is important to firearms owners because the Federal Reserve is allowed to print trillions of dollars out of thin air not backed by anything. Dollars responds to the law of supply and demand just like everything else. When the amount of dollars goes up, the value of each individual dollar falls. The value lost by your dollars is value transferred to the federal government. Not only does this weaken the individual citizen in order to strengthen the federal government, but the federal government then turns around and offers this money to the States or local government with strings attached, ie, the feds will give the State of Alaska so much money for law enforcement but only if they implement a gun registration program. It allows the federal government to buy off our state and local representation. Call Congressman Don Young at 456-0210 and ask him to cosponsor HR 833.
STATE TO DO'S On the State level, we are trying to get Representative John Harris to "introduce the Alaska Firearms Freedom Act" which says that a firearm or firearm accessory that is made in Alaska and stays in Alaska is not under any federal jurisdiction. It would also instruct the Alaska Attorney General to defend in full any Alaskan who the federal government goes after over such a firearm. John Harris and others may be "hot potatoing" this one, but I think it's just because they are busy. So, keep calling until they make it a priority. Call Rep. John Harris at 1-888-465-4859 and ask him to introduce the Alaska Firearms Freedom Act.
Also on the State level, we are trying to get Governor Sarah Palin to introduce the "Alaska Sovereignty Act." This would join Alaska with 21 other states telling the federal government that the states created the federal government to do only the stuff we told them to do in the Constitution and no more; that anything they are doing that goes beyond the authority delegated to them by the Constitution is unlawful and void. It also says if they keep on trying to do things they aren't allowed to do, then 2/3 of the states can dissolve the federal government and start fresh with a new federal government that is bound by the Constitution. It also calls for the states to establish the new government immediately if the federal government does any of the following: 1. Establishes martial law without a state's consent 2. Requires involuntary servitude 3. Surrenders any power to a corporation or a foreign government 4. Makes any act regarding religion or free speech 5. Makes any further infringements on the right to keep and bear arms, including prohibitions on types or quantities of arms or ammunitions. Call Gov. Sarah Palin at 451-2920 and ask her to introduce the State Sovereignty Act. The final thing we are doing at the State level is pushing Representative John Coghill to "reintroduce HR463 for fully informed juries." This is important to firearms owners because if these bad gun laws are implemented and we don't follow them, some of us may end up in court. At which point, we will be counting on a jury of our peers to not convict us. The juror is the only one with the power to actually enforce the law. That is why they are there. If the jury believes it is a bad law or that the law is being unjustly applied, they can vote NOT GUILTY. The jury has now, and always has had, this duty to exercise discretion in the application of the law, but currently judges are allowed to tell them the opposite. Deception and ignorance are not the path to justice. Call Rep. John Coghill at 1-877-465-3719 and Rep. Jay Ramras at 1-877-465-3004 and ask them to work on passing HR463 for a fully informed jury.
INDIVIDUAL TO DO'S Now, what to do as an individual Alaskan. If the federal government won't follow the Constitution and do the right thing, and if the state won't defend the Constitution and do the right thing, then they have nullified their own authority and have become lawless and out of control institutions. At which point it would be highly irresponsible of us as individuals to allow them to continue on towards disaster and destruction. In fact, each one of us would be to a certain degree liable for the damages caused by the out of control governments we delegated our individual powers to. All power rests with the individual and is delegated from them. Each man has the right from God to life, liberty, and property, and a corresponding duty to protect those rights as an individual and through the establishing of governments to do the same. An individual has no right to impair another's right to self-defense. Since we as individuals cannot delegate to a government what we ourselves do not possess, a government that tries to exert such force does not have grounds to do so. Consequently it is our moral duty to stop them, by force if need be. The use of force by the people against their own government is only appropriate after the people have exhausted other peaceful means. We must guard against the rash tendency to neglect these peaceful means and jump quickly to the use of force. But, the fact remains, it may one day be the duty of us good and faithful men to take up arms to protect liberty and law. Therefore, having accepted what we may be called upon to do, let us work with all diligence and temperance to prevent it. At the moment we are doing these things as individuals: * Commitment to stand together in noncompliance and pool our resources if we need to for a legal battle. (I am in the process of retaining an attorney for the 2nd Amendment Task Force.) * Sign the declaration so that every gun owner in Fairbanks will know they aren't alone. * Not convict a firearms offense if you're on a jury. * Help break the social stigma that only cops and robbers have guns by participating in open carry days (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays).
Now we must set our minds on True and Hopeful things so that we will be Temperate, Faithful, and Courageous.

Good for Alaskans!! They already have “Vermont carry” but they’re not done yet! They’re going for rolling back more infringements. Way to go!
Go,Shaeffer! You know who I am... See you a week from Thursday.
I’m liking this guy more and more.
Can the governor introduce a bill? Don’t you have a legislator to do it?
