West Texas border inspectors keep rejecting it and sending it back. We got .7 in the past 24 hours not the 2 to 4 they were warning about Friday. This is going to be a gut churning week in the financials :(

Mr Shelby said there was no recession for his $70,000 hot roads. A friend of mine just bought the most beautiful car I have ever seen. I think it is a CLK 55 Mercedes Coupe maroon in color...

Whoa doggies, that silver one would look just fine in my stable. I drove a Shelby 350 in gymkhana back in 70-72. Kicked butt in class A unlimited, and class C coupe... Porsche and Corvette had nothin to offer... surprisingly, Jaguar was the next closest... otoh, I was absolutely hearless regarding the tars... lotso blue ribbons, dash plates, and gold trophies. Got a soft spot for that big mouth grille. Damn perty.

Note for future LVMS attendee's: Last year the Neon Garage pass got you all of Pit Road access. This year was the back side of pit road only. To see the front side of PR you had to buy the Driver Intro package. How stupid is that?!! The event security dude at Shrub's pit box did not know this or he didn't care, people from the Neon Garage were going over the wall in droves. :)

I never get tired of this...

Just a side note...

I'm sure most of you know that my boy (now 14) has always been the sidekick on these Nascar adventures, for 7 years now. I'm not sure who liked it better, me or him, but it was always a good time.

Saturday evening he tells me that he does not want to go to Sunday's race. Umm, to say that I was upset does not cover it. Wow. If he does not want to go, then there is no sense in me going. What fun would that be, by myself?

Kids! What do ya do?

And then the better half says, "I'll go with ya!" Another "Wow". She has never wanted to go back after the first race we went to. To be honest, I think she got her socks rocked on Friday - the Neon Garage. She liked that a whole bunch. And she knew how much I liked going.

Bottom line is that if it were not for my sweety, I would not have went Sunday. It's good to be loved! :)
