WASHINGTON (AP) President Barack Obama's likely third pick for Commerce secretary is former Washington Gov. Gary Locke, a senior administration official said Monday.
Locke, a Democrat, was the nation's first Chinese-American governor when he served two terms in the Washington statehouse from 1997 to 2005.

Have you heard about this? A fund of hedge funds run by two members of Vice President Joe Biden's family was marketed exclusively by companies controlled by Texas financier R. Allen Stanford, who is facing Securities and Exchange Commission accusations of engaging in an $8 billion fraud.
That guilt is shared by the Dems who control the legislature here....but Locke went along with their business-killing deeds.

A fund of hedge funds run by two members of Vice President Joe Biden’s family was marketed exclusively by Stanford Financial entities.It’s on the front page of the WSJ online, but I can’t get the full article. We get the dead tree edition, but it is delivered to my husband’s office.
I wouldn’t disagree with most of that. One reason he was never surprised by a budget, though, is that he never met a tax he didn’t like. Even in years of surplus in the state.
No argument that he’s a way better choice than Gregoire...the choice of deceased voters everywhere.
Just saw this - looks like it’s going to be on Fox n Friends this morning.
I have to wonder if China requested Locke. Don’t forget that he accepted campaign money from the same Buddhist monks as Al Gore. Locke received the bulk of his campaign money from out of state donors, connected to Maria Hsiu (However you spell that name, actually, I hope it is even the right name. It has been a while)
