Nearly 200 miles west, on Californias Pacific shores, the Rev. John Fanestil spends every Sunday at Friendship Park, where people on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border touch hands and talk through holes in a chain-link fence.
For decades, the dunes and Friendship Park were virtually unchanged. But in its final months, as the Bush administration raced to fulfill a pledge to erect 670 miles of fencing and vehicle barriers on the border, they were transformed almost overnight.

The two on the fence, distract the Border Patrol. The guy on the rock calls for the others to cross. One even starts a fire on the border road. All were apprehended.
Ironic choice of words seeing as how many of the illegal border crossers wind up doing yard maintenance and landscaping.

I’m thinking of setting up a voter registration, welfare application service on that spot so they don’t have to walk all the way to LA.
The article’s intent to make me feel bad failed miserably.

Well, unchanged except there are now about a HUNDRED times more illegals that have brought CA hospitals and schools to a collapse...but other than that...and those fences should be taller and electrified...
If ya ask the magic negro I bet he gives ya some of the stimulus to get your endeavor started.
FUBAR (I include Barack And Rahm)
I have a friend that lives up on the mountain in El Paso. I had an idea to use 3 telescopes aimed at popular spots on the Rio grand used as crossings by illegals. I was going to put live webcams online using them...I was warned that the authorities would take a dim view of this and find some way to harass until they were shut down. This even though the cameras would be miles away from the crossing points.
Counting on some federal immigration services funds. Maybe I’ll just open an ACORN franchise. It’s all nuts anyway.
Too funny,
Acorn, sounds like a jesse jackson shake down.
That fence looks tiny in that terrain.
Go ahead and do it anyway, you’ll be making a statment (though you might not want to risk it) if you incur their wrath (and become a grassroots hero), and if they don’t harass you it’s one more tool to catch illigals, good job!
You really should go ahead and do that. I don’t see how the “authorities” can legally harass you for exercising your 1st Amendment rights, particularly in light of exposing criminal activity.
If it was one of these “authorities” that told you not to do so, please post their information here so we can see who it is that views the rights of foreign criminals to be more important that those of American citizens.
Youtube displays might be useful..
