Fed up with the socialist agenda? Ready to take action toward restoring our country to its founding principles? We need to start in our own backyard.
This is a call to FReepers in the Western PA/Eastern OH area who may be interested in gathering to discuss ideas on how to engage in local activism and to support candidates who espouse Conservative principles.
I'm a political neophyte myself, but hopefully there are some FReepers in our area who would be willing to share their political expertise and help to get us started.
Please post on this thread with your ideas, suggestions, and potential strategies, so that we can take our first steps.

LOL—Well, I have a feeling the budget may not allow anything beyond an Econolodge.

Hi rwi...thanks for the ping. I’m in. Is there a FR ‘date’ (time frame window) that we have to hit? LOL on EconoLodge...BUT they all have co$t friendly meeting rooms...or we just meet as a (hopefully) large dinner party @ a restaurant. Maybe someplace close to one of the Turnpike interchanges? Thoughts folks?
I don’t know if we have a specific deadline to meet, but the earlier the better, I would imagine; March would be good.
I like your idea about the restaurant, we just need to figure out where.
Purely out of self-interest, I would suggest the turnpike exit at Harmar (Allegheny Valley, Route 28). Plenty of restaurant choices there.
Take Rte 31 east through the Laurel Mountains!
