Will the Obama Administration's plan to save the U.S. economy actually help the markets? CNBC's Rick Santelli on Thursday sparked a revolution of sorts on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade.
Santelli's televised rebuke has been heard around the world. From The Chicago Tribune to TV Newser, read what others are saying about his rant...

CNBC is really milking Rick Santelli's rousing floor chorus of boos for certain aspects of the housing rescue plan, but many others see few options. "The government should not be bailing out mortgage lenders who should never have lent money to people unlikely to be able to repay, or borrowers who should never have taken out a mortage loan. ...No wonder my CNBC colleague Rick Santelli went a little bit berserk in his broadcast from the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, warning that all the bailouts, programs, rescues, stabilizations and stimuli are turning our capitalist nation into Cuba. He got the floor traders so stirred up it seemed for a minute there that an armed revolution was going to start at any moment. Santelli is right. This country is being rescued to death. He is right. Nationalization only occurs in third world countries, dictatorships, and communist revolutions.
Send the tea.
Keep the momentum, raise some hell!
If CNBC milks this episode and inadvertently creates a revolutionary storm in this country, so be it. Rick Santelli may well become the modern day Crispus Attucks
You nailed it! I feel the same way. Santelli is a new American hero!
The spirit of freedom may be barely breathing in this country. But Patrick Henry would appreciate Santelli’s comments. Rev it up!
Me thinks more of a Leach Walesa !!
Bttt
First to defy and first to die. (famous comment about the martyred Crispus Attucks)
dictatorships, and communist revolution obamas wish list?
I am in favor of a Santelli for President rally in Iowa. We could shift the TEA PARTY there and really put a scare in to the Republicrats.
Man this ticks me off! Three words....Community Reinvestment Act. NO ONE ever brings this up in the media. It's just the "banks lent money to people they shouldn't have." NO ONE ever asks to the next question..."Now why do you suppose they did that?"
Your paying for someone who cant or wont take care of their own finances!
Not that I want this to happen, it is just the way Rats are.
How bout a Santelli/Joe the plumber ticket in the next election. In the Capitalist Party USA.

Great Idea....but how about IL. Senate ??.......That’s why I used Walesa....becuse he was a simple electrician who climded over the fence in protest and captured the mood of the people and was elected President !!
Check out theat “Rude” YOUTUBE statement by Santelli...the man shares our rage.....I would love to see him organize the Tea Party and run in the GOP primary for BO’s OLD SEAT IN THE SENATE THIS YEAR.....THAT WILL SCARE THE CRAP OUT OF ALL OF THEM !
