| WASHINGTON, Feb. 20, 2009 Kyrgyzstan has given the United States six months to leave Manas Air Base, but discussions continue for a longer U.S. presence there, a Pentagon official said today.
The Kyrgyz foreign ministry today officially notified the U.S. Embassy in Bishkek that a 180-day withdrawal process is under way, Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman said. |

You would think that the successful visit by Borat to the US would mean no problems with our bases.
‘dummer’s fault.

OR WHAT, YOU FREEKIN KYRGYZSTAN BA$TARDS?
Do I sense the hand of Czar Putin? He will let us use one of Russia’s bases to replace this base. How nice of him. We will have to pay rent into his coffers and I am sure they will spy on our planes. Then what can we do if he gets “frisky” and invades other lands? Can we protest? I think not. He will have us over a barrel. With a few “treaties” Putin will turn the US into a puppet. Better start learning to speak Russian—who will really get this in the long run? The people who always get the shaft—Poland.
