I believe the July 4th date has been mentioned. The city usually puts on the fireworks display on the 3rd. But I believe Taste of Chicago is still going on the 4th? A tea party crowd showing up on the 4th could shut down “Taste”, much to the chagrin of our (give them bread and circuses) “City Fathers.”
I haven’t been to the Taste in years. Too big a crowd, way too expensive. But I would go to this, and bring all of my friends. It would be a ‘taste’ all right, one that would be hard for them to swallow.
