This emboldenment can work both ways, people.
The Coptic family that was killed in Jersey City (not Passaic) was killed by a downstairs neighbor and his accomplice. The motive was robbery - money to buy drugs. The killers were not Muslim but stupid wasteful thugs. If the police had gotten bank card activity immediately they would have caught the killers weeks earlier and prevented speculation on Islamic terrorist motivation for the crime.
The beheading has gotten MSM coverage. The AP article our liberal paper printed led with the irony of a beheader trying to improve the image of Muslims. NY NOW called it a terroristic honor killing and criticized the prosecutors for minimizing it as domestic violence. People who knew the couple said that the husband was violent and foul-tempered, once running his wife’s car off the road while she was driving their children. Someone should have exposed that peaceful image-polishing Muslim THEN but it is happening now.
It has NOT gotten the main stream coverage that will actually REACH a large number of people. None of the nets have covered it and they comprise probably 90% of the news people get each day.
They are not discussing the 35 terrorists training camps operating on our soil either. If it concerns muslims they won’t touch it.
What do we need to be vigilant .. especially of our neighbors?
