Governor Richardson is working hard behind the scenes, trying to convince state lawmakers to vote for one of his favorite pieces of legislation; the deeply controversial domestic partners bill.
The governor is using his formidable persuasive powers to pull uncertain lawmakers his way, but there are powerful forces at work on the other side too, mainly religious groups, including the Roman Catholic Church.
The bill would give unmarried couples, gay and straight, the opportunity to have the same legal rights as married couples.
The Senate is where the bill will sink or swim.

They indict him yet?
Isn’t it funny when liberals get in trouble they always wave liberal crap around. It’s like a call for help with them.
King Bill has 30 days left in this years legislative session to twist some lawmakers’ arms in return for not vetoing some pet project. He’s already flipped one Democrat and looking for more. (Democrats control both houses in NM and some of the more traditional Hispanics oppose it which is why the pressure is on them in return for pork from Richardson.)
Richardson - isn’t he that guy that was so corrupt he couldn’t be in the Obama cabinet of criminals and tax cheats - how queer is that!
During the next 30 days, it would be nice to have a State’s Rights bill that will resist federal incursions on our gun rights.
Trying to change the topic.
Really, if Bill Richardson and little tommy dashole are to corrupt for these tax cheats and “community organizer” thieves they must really be corrupt.

He is too corrupt to be in Zero’s cabinet but just corrupt enough to run New Mexico as its governor? Reality truly is stranger than fiction.
There is a suitable location he could push such a bill [in]to.
Democrats are incredible. As they drag him off to jail Richardson will be pushing the Marxist agenda.
