N. Korea: Why Importing Camels?
(Beijing Reuters = Yonhap News) A report surfaced recently, which says that N. Korea imported camels and yaks, prompting speculation over what the wild animals are for.
According to a Feb. 19th dispatch by China's Xinhua agency, a zoo located in Dairen, Liaoliang Province recently exported two yaks, a kind of wild buffalo, and four camels to N. Korea.
It briefly mentioned, "This is the first time these wild animals are exported to N. Korea from Dairen or Liaoling Province in general." It did now spell out where in N. Korea they are destined to or why N. Korea wants the animals.
The once friendly relationship between China and N. Korea has markedly soured since N. Korea started to develop nuclear weapons, but fearing the huge chaos which may erupt in border area to N. Korea if N. Korean regime collapses, China is providing steady flow of energy and food aid to N. Korea.

I suspect Chia Head has another of his 'bright ideas' on how to solve N. Korea's chronic meat shortage.
He was once hooked on giant German Grey(rabbits) as a solution. I guess it did not turn out well. Now he may be trying camels and yaks. Both can survive in a harsh and arid condition.

Why Importing Camels? If they are starving, why are they importing cigarettes?

“N. Korea imported camels and yaks, prompting speculation over what the wild animals are for.”
Guess it depends on how many. Yak or camel stew to feed an army?

Correction: It did now not spell out where in N. Korea they are destined to or why N. Korea wants the animals.

I wonder if they knew they had to feed the rabbits? Rabbits are one of the most rapidly reproducing animals out there.

Y'all are all on the wrong track.
Not Camels for food. Camels for rocket launcher platforms.
They're building fitted SAM mounts for Al Qaeda animals which can manage the Pakistan badlands.

Not Camels for food. Camels for rocket launcher platforms. And of course, the yaks aren't for food, either. They want to breed their own versions of the famous Russian fighter planes....
