Wish I could give you more info - I’ve been looking into it off and on for years (and not on tinfoil hat sites, I assure you) and the information about it is spotty at best. Lots of speculation, but the seismographic readings couldn’t be anything else and there aren’t any good explanations from *anyone*.
The most likely guess on the number of non-test nuclear weapons that have been employed is about five - our two in Japan, most likely two in the Sino-Soviet border wars, and whatever the hell happened in the Indian Ocean.
