Master of the obvious alert...
CYA and a little late.
with all due respect, what a dumbass....
Well I’ll be. Israel’s Jimmmy Carter has allowed clarity to sneak in.
*GASP*
Wait a sec! He’s picking Netanyahu! He’s picking Netanyahu!
If he flips too much more he may just end up being the third term of Bush.
I don’t think he means anything by it. He was backed into a corner by a bunch of Angry American Jewish mayors, and came out with this in defense of himself.
But note what he added after he had time to recover. “The President’s Office subsequently said that Peres meant that he was against the way the pullout was carried out, and the lack of political and security coordination with the Palestinians.”
In other words, it would have been OK if he had just talked it over a little more with the Palestinians, so the withdrawal wouldn’t have been quite so awkward and personally embarrassing to him. After all, they are nice guys, they just needed a little more talking to and they would have been more understanding of his hurt feelings.
Aw thanks a lot, meanie, way to rain on my parade. ;)
No wait, I take back the wink. I’m serious, man!
Well, I’m rooting for Bibi, too.
Too late to redeem yourself. You ruined the best headline I’d read all day.
...OK, I admit it - I didn’t actually read the article so it’s my own fault. :) Ha, have a good night.
