A Brentwood, California public relations agency has walked out on octuplets mom Nadya Suleman because its owners feared for their lives.

Joann Killeen, president of Killeen Furtney Group, says threatening emails and phone calls began flooding her firm as soon as its connection to Suleman was made public.

“They hope I die, they hope my business goes under, they want to rip her uterus out,” Killeen said. “They say I should be anesthetized and put down like a dog.”

Flacks are scum-sucking low-lifes, but nobody deserves to die for it. People need to learn how to express scorn without threatening serious bodily harm.

I agree people should not act like that. On the other hand my skeptical side comes out whenever I hear about all of these *death threats*. Maybe so, maybe not, but it generally works for sympathy.

I agree with you. This PR woman went on Dr. Phil to whine about death threats, which seems like the opposite of what you’d do if you’d actually received death threats.

When the usual liberal suspects whine about death threats, I don't believe it until I see the police report WITH confirmation of the threats (phone record, Email, hard copy).

It's a standard tactic to divert attention from the liberal's wrongdoing (thinking that it was a good idea to represent this obviously crazy woman) and to create instant victim status.

"Don't look there . . . look over HERE!"

It may be true that Joann Killeen, the PR flack for the infamous 'octuplets mom', Nadya Suleman received some death threats. If so, that's wrong - but it can't be wholly unexpected.

The 'octuplets mom' (Suleman) appears to be somwhat unstable and has been very irresponsible, to put it politely. I believe that a lot of Americans are sick of irresponsible behavior being celebrated, the irresponsible person making money from their actions and the media shoving it in our faces at every opportunity. One hopes this may be the start of a public backlash against dopey people doing irresponsible things and being treated as 'celebrities' by the brain-dead media.

I have to assume that Joann Killeen reported these alleged death threats to the police, if she could find the time between media interviews and being afraid for her life and all.

If I were receiving death threats, I’d want everyone and their dog to know about it. People are less likely to make someone dead if it’ll get a ton of media attention. Having read some of the hate filled rants on other websites, posted on this mother’s website, and even right here on FR, I don’t doubt they’re getting the same vile crap in their e-mail box.

I think you're right that the PR person really did get death threats. However, I think that goes with the territory and that she went on Dr. Phil and used the death threats to get sympathy. When she didn't get the sympathy, and feared she's lose clients in the future by representing Octomom, she dropped Octomom. I believe the PR person dumped Octomom because she feared for the safety of her bank account, not her life.

“she went on Dr. Phil and used the death threats to get sympathy”

I have no problem with sympathy for a person receiving death threats. It would scare the piss out of me, and has. If you believe she was probably getting them, think about what that would be like, especially with such a high profile media story. It’s just been bizarre how much media attention this has gotten.

Death threats should never “go with the territory” of any job or business. If it truly does, I don’t blame any of them if they get the hell out of dodge. I say this from experience. I run a Christian ministry and my family gets pretty frequent death threats (and other threats) from Muslims (especially during the height of the war in Iraq). It can really start to creep you out. You get enough of them, and you’re always checking over your shoulder and looking out the window. I’m sure these people are receiving far worse than we have, so I feel for them.

“I only feel sorry for the babies....poor little souls.”

My sentiments exactly. Those poor babies have started out at a deficit in most ways. They look so emaciated and peaked in general; hope that situation clears up quickly as I certainly wish them well. Such antics as this spoiled woman has pulled have been absolutely irresponsible. Now that common sense has taken a back seat to “choice” in this country and, indeed, the whole world, we will soon have neither common sense nor real “choice” (when everybody’s “personal choice” costs millions and we run out of money - Joe Q. Public is already pretty tapped out). Nadya is a spoiled jackass for pursuing this madness certainly past the point where she “chose” to do this past a reasonable number of children and without a husband (innocent pursed liver lips notwithstanding). . and just where IS the DEADBEAT DAD of these babies?

Let’s hope that Nadya’s fifteen minutes of fame are up. If she can get some lucrative work to finance her little fetish, good, but get out of the faces of hard working sensible people. Hopefully, her apparent lust for attention will not result in that “fertility” doctor fixing her up again.

According to the babies’ grandmother, the boyfriend loved (loves?) the Nadya woman and wanted to marry her, but she refused and wanted the kids on her own (the first 6). I’d say there were probably financial reasons why she wanted to remain single (more gubmint money). I feel a bit sorry for him as he seems to have been shoved out of the picture.
