Back in December, NPR visited Oklahoma (very red state) and they interviewed people on the street. They found about 6 people. All of them had voted for McCain. And all of them -- 100%! -- were thrilled by Barack Obama. Thought he was presidential, thought he was making a smooth transition, they were really optimistic that things would be OK because Obama was in charge.
Do you beleive that?
This morning, NPR interviewed two guys in Colorado. Long-time Republicans, small business owners, solid responsible individuals. One of them had voted for McCain and the other Republican had voted for Obama. Both were pretty pleased with the Stimulus Bill. Thought Obama shouldn't be criticized, doing a fine job, we'll just wait and see if how it all works out, blah, blah, blah.
Do you believe that?
Much of the media will lie and protect this guy until the cows come home.
I was having dinner with some friends. They both voted for Obama even though they are very smart people. The wife said, “I think Obama will do really well and will be a good President.”
I asked her why she thinks that. What in his past shows that he has been a succesful leader? besides getting elected, when has he been anything but a back bencher?
There was no legible answer.
