Day Deux of David Shuster’s lefties-only blog segment featured a sidesplitter from Jane Hamsher. The Firedoglaker mocked Republican Eric Cantor for suggesting that taxpayers will foot the bill for the mortgage bailout the president is about to roll out. Silly Eric! Turns out, taxpayers won’t be on the hook at all. The money will come from . . . TARP II. Mortgage manna from heaven!

Jane comes right out of the gate, and takes it to Eric Cantor (NOT a real transcript!):
“I personally believe… that… the mortgage crisis is very complicated, and that U.S. Americans are not going to pay more property taxes… because… uh…some … people out there in our nation don’t have property taxes and…. uh, I believe that Eric Cantor doesn't understand the mortgage crisis like I understand it and, our, ah, taxes like such as… in South Africa, and, uh, the Iraq, like everywhere like…such as… and I believe that they should, uh, our TARP II bailout over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., or should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries… so we will be able to build up our future…for our children.”
David Shuster: "Oh, like - you are SO TOTALLY brilliant, Jane - and Eric Cantor is a poo-poo faced Republican dweeb. Totally."
So, if you make fun of Jane Hamsher's brain farts, and Poop Shuster's idiot congratulatory remarks, they can sic their corporate lawyers on you - just as the Founding Fathers always intended...
