ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) Bristol Palin loves motherhood, but the teenage daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she's not getting much sleep these days.
Bristol Palin says in a two-part interview on Fox News Channel's "On the Record" that she wishes her pregnancy had "happened in, like, 10 years so I could have a job and an education and be, like, prepared and have my own house and stuff."
Palin goes on to say that son Tripp, born Dec. 27, brings her so much joy, she doesn't regret having him at all. She's engaged to the baby's father, Levi Johnston.
The governor also made an appearance in the interview, which took place Sunday in Fairbanks.
Part one of the interview aired Monday night and the second part was scheduled to air Tuesday night.

Jean de Dunois, also known as the Bastard of Orleans, never seemed to have been offended at the designation. Even a saint, Jeanne d'Arc, referred to him by that moniker. The word then didn't have the stigma associated with it as it now does. It was considered not a slur, but the proper use of the word.
Great interview. It’s refreshing to see a family that is 100% supportive of each other - even when mistakes are made. As Sarah said, you make the best of the facts in front of you. It’s also refreshing to see a politician who is not afraid to be exactly who she really is. “Authentic” described Sarah the day she was introduced to us and it still fits. She is not ashamed of herself, her family, or her circumstances. She lives her life unapologetically and that includes her belief in Jesus Christ. Few public servants come close to being as refreshingly spirited and honest as Sarah Palin. 2012 can’t get here fast enough for me.
I agree. FR has gotten a bit odd lately regarding some Palin-related posts. I’m not saying everyone should be 100% Sarah by any means. Logical disagreements are necessary and should be encouraged all day, every day. But, some comments have raised my eyebrows on more than one occasion. Am I suggesting that there are some who are here for the sole purpose of being anti-Palin? Yes.
This whole thread is sad.
IMO of course.
Palin has a 17 yr old daughter who had sex and got pregnant and had a baby. Geez, like it hasn’t happened to many families since the beginning of time.
Well said.
If illegitimacy is not the child’s fault, why is “bastard” derogatory?
Let’s be clear. Either legitimacy is a superiour state for an infant to illegitimacy or it is not. If it is not superiour, then “bastard” is just a genealogical footnote with no special sting.
Tripp, as stated in the article, is Bristol’s son. Sarah’s baby is Trig.
Excelent! Not many Junior High students earn that much on their paper routes. Does your mommy know you've posted stupid comments on FR?
I don't believe that term is used too often anymore. Anyway it isn't the childs fault if his/her's parents don't marry. Why is it such a concern of yours? FYI if a married woman has a child & her husband isn't the father years ago that child would have been labeled a bastard.
On all social levels in medieval England, there was little stigma attached to bastardy, though the Church did often advise against the fathering of illegitimate children. Bastards were often recognized by their fathers, and as long as they did not inherit their fathers' property, were viewed much the same as legitimate children. In some cases, bastards were loved even more than the legitimate children of their parents, as in the case of Geoffrey 'Plantagenet,' whom Henry II, on his deathbed, called his "only true son"-not a tough call, considering Henry's legitimate sons, Richard I and John (both future kings who would father their own bastards), had both plotted against their father.
Some famous bastards from history were
Confucius (ca. 551479 BCE)
Leonardo da Vinci (14521519)
Thomas Paine (17371809
Alexander Hamilton (17551804)
Maybe because the kid lost his electricians apprentice job, they have no health care of their own.
No. Some people do not know when to stay quiet. The Palins can’t seem to get it right. I do not wish to know the details of her life.....all I need to do is say a prayer for her.
I REALLY do not need to refer to her child as a “bastard”....that is like calling someone gay, when you mean they are happy......words mean things, and the common use of such words implies something negative.
My mama always told me...”if you do not have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”......seems to work here.
Please note I have no idea what you said on the thread....I am going to pass reading all the comments so I do not mean these words for you. Just commenting in general.
The level of maturity in the GOP base has a “strange” correlation with our level of victories in the past 12 years.
Lower and lower, ummmmm, I wonder what one has to do with the other?
damn, that was hilarious! I’m still laughing, a paper route? LOL!
I agree that if you can’t say something nice... I wish the family the best. But if you put yourself out there, be prepared for responses you may not like.
Don’t forget the piece of crap in the White House is a bastard and a piece of crap.
I don't think he can he force her to marry him.
