ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) Bristol Palin loves motherhood, but the teenage daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she's not getting much sleep these days.
Bristol Palin says in a two-part interview on Fox News Channel's "On the Record" that she wishes her pregnancy had "happened in, like, 10 years so I could have a job and an education and be, like, prepared and have my own house and stuff."
Palin goes on to say that son Tripp, born Dec. 27, brings her so much joy, she doesn't regret having him at all. She's engaged to the baby's father, Levi Johnston.
The governor also made an appearance in the interview, which took place Sunday in Fairbanks.
Part one of the interview aired Monday night and the second part was scheduled to air Tuesday night.

I see no consciousness on Bristol’s part of having done anything impure at ANY time.
*an unrepentant, self-satisfied one*
That is your conclusion not one probably most came away with.
You seem to have a lot of displacement going on.
I had the sound off while the interview itself was on—I only read the transcript.
If there were watering eyes at any point, or any hint of self-reproach in the voice—other than for having to tell her parents she was pregnant, I missed it.
I see only remorse at having been “caught.”:
Maybe I watched a different interview but I thought Bristol accepted responsibility for her actions.
As for part 2. I’m flying blind cause I haven’t seen it yet as I was driving home from work. I’m gonna try to stay up tll 1, but we’ll see.....
To bad you could not hear the interview.
You have to much invested in this subject to have an
objective view.
“BRISTOL: No. I don’t want to get into detail about that. But I think abstinence is, like — like, the — I don’t know how to put it — like, the main — everyone should be abstinent or whatever, but it’s not realistic at all.
VAN SUSTEREN: Why?
BRISTOL: Because — I don’t want to get into details on this.”
I think my objectivity is adequate, thank you.
“if I owed the whole world everything and I were down to my last dime, I wouldnt even think about going on welfare. Would I go to my personal friends and ask for help? Of course”
I don’t think most of us would go on welfare. It would be difficult to even ask our friends/family for help. It’s the way we were raised.
There are going to be welfare queens. We have welfare. They’re still a minority in this country. Most families don’t operate that way. We have illegals tapping into our resources/welfare. I still believe most people want to make it on their own, and teach their kids that it’s the right way to go.
We can only be what we are. I figure the only people I have any control over for a short time are my kids. Trying to raise them right.
Hope you hve a chance to see the second part.
I had parents but wish I could have had others.
Because you have parents that are married doesn’t
always make it the best situation.
Obsession is not your friend to even keeping the transcript.
I hope you keep sharp objects away from yorself.
you know ...I started to read this thread, and you pretty much said all there is to be said.
Here’s another highlight:
“VAN SUSTEREN: So it’s not just an issue of abstinence. That’s one issue. But once we get beyond that — you know, because when you have the discussion of abstinence, it’s almost — I always sort of feel badly because there’s a wonderful child here and talking abstinence sounds — I mean, it sounds...
SARAH PALIN: (INAUDIBLE) naive (INAUDIBLE)
VAN SUSTEREN: Well, it doesn’t even — it doesn’t even sound naive, but it doesn’t sound very nice because this is a wonderful young boy.”
Sarah knows she’s dead in the water on this issue.
Strangely, or not, Greta sounds like she thinks its just mean for girls not to have sex with nice boys.
A rigid person breaks, I hope you have someone who will
help pick up your pieces
Again with the insults.
Disagreeing with you is not evidence of mental instability—although the need to pathologise those who disagree with you may be.
It is not for me (or you) to ‘accept’ the relationship of Bristol and Levi.
Gee, who was it that said ‘let those without sin cast the first stone.’ So I take it you are peebleless?
Who is the person you would choose for president in the next election?
I’m already broken.
But, unlike many, I can admit it, and not demand rather that society endorse my fractures as just evidence of the unrealistic nature of Christian morality.
What individual parents teach their children I don’t know, but since there is a whole world that is teaching their children a very clear and strong lesson every day, the opposite message will have to be just as clear and strong.
Sure children have been born out of wedlock for a long time and we’re reaping the harvest.
I can see that you're doing that.
Insult is not argument.
I gave up arguing with you when you clearly abandoned honesty.
For some, I’m sure Bristol has damaged her mother’s credibility. Not in my opinion for what it’s worth.
Some said Palin should have focused on her family, not be a governor, mayor, etc. And, they blame her teen getting pregnant on her being a working mom. I don’t look at it that way.
I was able to be a stay at home mom for many years. I can’t now so everyone in the family has to deal with it. And I’m not in a high profile position or a senator or Governor.
We all have skeletons in our closet. I’d hate to be judged on what I did 25 yrs ago or what my family did or my kids did. We have people in congress who committed real crimes (ted kennedy) and it hasn’t hampered his career. Yet we seem to hold our republican reps to a different standard.
Who is the person you would choose for president in the next election?
You haven’t answered the question
