Palin's teen daughter wishes pregnancy came later

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Bristol Palin loves motherhood, but the teenage daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she's not getting much sleep these days.

Bristol Palin says in a two-part interview on Fox News Channel's "On the Record" that she wishes her pregnancy had "happened in, like, 10 years so I could have a job and an education and be, like, prepared and have my own house and stuff."

Palin goes on to say that son Tripp, born Dec. 27, brings her so much joy, she doesn't regret having him at all. She's engaged to the baby's father, Levi Johnston.

The governor also made an appearance in the interview, which took place Sunday in Fairbanks.

Part one of the interview aired Monday night and the second part was scheduled to air Tuesday night.

Yep, it’s yet another case of “defining deviancy down.”

Exactly!

You beat me to the computer, seek! Words do have meaning. And “bastard” is a perfectly good word. In fact, I wish the term “bastard breeder” was used rather than the euphemism “single mom.”

I love Sarah Palin. I’m glad Bristol’s baby is getting plenty of love and support from his family, but I too wish that Bristol and Levi had married before the baby was born.

One of my pet peeves is the flash-and-trash white wedding with multiple bride’s maids and a baby in tow. The good Lord gives you almost nine months to have the wedding and make the child legitimate.

Thinking out loud here. I like what I know about Palin, her record, speeches, etc. She’s a parent. She has a teen who had sex, was pregnant, and had the baby. For me, as a parent, it’s not something I want for my kids. I sure as hell don’t want them to have premarital sex or become pregnant and have a baby as a teen. But since I’m not a public figure, it doesn’t matter to the world what my kids do.

Heh, I’ll go back to just reading now.

Destigmatising illegitimacy, in my mind, is like trying to destigmatise myopia—the kid with glasses is always going to know he lacks something important, dress it up however you like

Bingo. In the best of all worlds kids prefer that they have two parents who are/were married to each other.

When that isn't the case, adults spend a lot of time reassuring the kids (and themselves) there is nothing to be ashamed of, that they are just as loved and just as perfect as anyone else, and anyone who thinks otherwise is "judgemental". Would that it were so easy to dismiss as a moral irrelevancy, internally.

Now the liberals that run the public schools are going to be able to use Bristol as a poster girl for sex-ed. Sometimes, the Palin's act like clowns, they play the fool for the drive-by's in the media.

DICTIONARY DEFINITION OF BASTARD : a person born of unmarried parents;

As Rush Limbaugh said : WORDS MEAN THINGS.

Very true. In the interest of staying within the good graces of the Admin Mods, I'll also just say that there are many A$$holes on FR.

It was none of our business until they went on national TV last night and talked about it! Bristol’s “abstinence for teens isn’t possible” remarks are likely to reach other teens, who will use her words as a pass to ignore the teachings of their parents or church.

It will be interesting to see how many kids use her words as permission to have sex before marriage.

Should the guy marry the girl or should he not marry her ? What would be best for society and for the child ?

IMO, they can either get married or not, as long as they stay off the dole, and manage to not raise an anti-social criminal, either way is OK with me.

I dont’ think he/she was making the comment “bastard” in a negative way since that is the definition of it. The kid is a “bastard” according to the definition. Gosh, can we get past the stupid wording and focus on the content? I mean that in the way, the word “bastard” hasn’t had negative connotations in ages, other than calling someone a bastard meaning a jerk or ass or whatever.

Yep. A forced marriage solves everything, apparently. SIGH.

If people didn’t vote for Sarah because he daughter got pregnant and didn’t marry the father, then Sarah doesn’t need votes from ignorant fools.

One, seed trolls who have finally decided to sprout. Two, the usual holier than thou crowd on FR. Yes, they are here. Three, the standard anti-Palin crowd including various Jindal and Romney supporters. And four, the standard issue ‘eat your own’ crowd because Sarah is, GASP, human- and so are her kids.

Looking at the way things seem to be going for the Palins, I’d say adoption is probably the best option for the child.

LOL!! Yeah, right. Courtney Love and Madonna keep their kids, but Bristol Palin needs to put hers up for adoption, because her family is just so darn disfunctional.

Seriously, What are you talking about?

And how do you know that? Define father. I guarantee by your definition, half the father’s on FR would fail.

Didn't they say they are going to get married and avoid making this kid a bastard child ?

Leave that poor girl alone you jerk.

Marriage is more than just a “religious ritual”. Like some have said on this thread, they could have gone to the JP and got married a long time ago if they were serious about getting married.

Isn’t it funny how Sarah Palin topics bring out the Palin Derangement Syndrome crowd here on FR as much as they do on liberal forums?

She said that it is not realistic but I have 2 nieces that are 19 and 23 and they are abstinent. The fact of the matter is that the mother (Sarah) was not watching the daughter and Levi and they did the nasty.

The "nasty"? How old are you?.

My sister watches my nieces and they are abstinent.

Just how much watching of her 19 and 23 year old daughters can your sister do. Seriously, that sounds creepy.

I just wish Sarah would stop killing animals and watch her kids better.

And finally, the bias. Thanks for playing.
