President Barack Obama flies into the Mile High City today to sign a historic $787 billion economic stimulus bill at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Obama is scheduled to arrive this morning at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora. The Rocky's Judi Villa, Jerd Smith and Roger Fillion are blogging live.

I guess going to the Mile High City is fitting since that’s the amount of pork in this bill.
The world is falling apart at the seams and this is just the tip of the iceberg of whats to come. I guess the only thing to do is to ride the storm and try to come out on top.
Obama hasn’t stayed in DC for any length of time. He’s basically been jet setting across the US since he entered office. I honestly think he’s trying to run the presidency like one long, 4-year campaign.
At some point, Republicans are gong to have to start attacking his ridiculous travel expenses.
As for this little publicity stunt, Obama isn’t spending but four hours in Denver. That’s it.
An Obama spokesman mentions:
“Denver is emblematic of the crisis that America’s economy is facing, but also of the benefits that American communities can see from this recovery plan.”
Which is of course horse manure. Denver has seen no major slide in home prices over the past year. There’s been a slight dip of a few percentage points, but that’s about it. I should freaking know; I’ve been waiting on them to fall. It hasn’t really happened.
Wish I were in Denver to show up with a few Product Zero protest signs for the oogling masses of reporters and worshipers.

Maybe he’s one of those hen pecked husbands that look for any excuse to stay away from the little Miss’s. Or he might know he doesn’t belong in the White House.
