Your article isn’t the one I was thinking of (but I have seen it before, on FR and elsewhere, and I remember the outrage it created)...The article I was remembering was more recent, from 2005 or 2006 or thereabouts. Is it possible that outrage from the earlier go arounds with this BS made the IRS decide to come down hard on later attempted fraudsters? Maybe, maybe not...I just remember being cheered to read of the IRS’s punitive fines against the 20058-2006 people who tried the same stunt (I *think* the article I saw was from the KC Star, but I may be misremembering.)

It kills me a million ways inside to know that people who think stuff like this is a big deal - and who are stupid enough to buy into the cult of personality - are allowed a vote that counts equally to mine.

Symbolic in so many ways.

I was at Bath, Bed, and Beyond a couple days ago and when I got to the cash register, there was a pile of boxes of those Obama commemorative diner plate you saw advertised constantly on tv last month. Right next to all the other As Seen On TV crap they are selling at a discount as well. They were selling them marked down for 5 bucks! Im sure those things are real high quality. I got one and going give it to my father, the lifetime republican, as a gag gift for his birthday. Hes going to looooooove me. Must ...

Very appropriate symbolism, a cheap counterfeit of a real President.

I got the biggest laugh out of this when I heard about it over the weekend. Couldn’t happen to a finer group of people...Obamanation supporters.

What’s funny is I recall seeing the ads for these before Jan 20th and Montel Williams goes back and forth in the ad from saying “President” Obama and “President-Elect” Obama. The ad was sooo poorly done, I doubt there was anything but one take. Cheap ad. Cheap product. Cheap suit.

“Those selling these coins know better than anyone that a liberal and their money is soon parted.”
Don’t worry they will be bailed out soon with our money.

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.Does this include the nut who stamped JFK in profile on pennies, or kids who smash coins on RR Tracks?

I knew that the mint would never strike a coin in the Savior's image. Separation of Church and State or some such. So I was on to the game from the first infomercial.
