Santorum had a history of supporting Spector, NOT true conservatives. Apparently a very very dim bulb to think his good buddy Spector would get his base out to support Santorum. The GOP has a long history always supporting the seniority system and Santorum allowed party policy to get in the way of being who he claimed he was.
So now we punish Republicans not only for their positions and actual voting records but also for whom they do and don’t support?
