BRITISH and French nuclear submarines which collided deep under the Atlantic could have sunk or released deadly radioactivity, it emerged last night.
The Royal Navys HMS Vanguard and the French Navys Le Triomphant are both nuclear powered and were carrying nuke missiles.
Between them they had around 250 sailors on board.
A senior Navy source said: The potential consequences are unthinkable. Its very unlikely there would have been a nuclear explosion.

Well since nobody was hurt we can have a little fun with this. As they say in NASCAR, “Rubbing is racing”.
Incidentally, did anybody take a good look at the Brit sub pictured in the article? That doesn’t look like a boomer. It doesn’t appear to have an obvious missile section.
On closer inspection I can just about make out a hint of missile hatch covers...
Next time try actually reading the article.
