WEST VIRGINIA FREEPERS! It's time to get active! The socialists have taken over Washington, and the only way to combat it is to GET LOCAL.
I am currently looking into venues and education/entertainment opportunities for a West Virginia conference. Call it:
COMMITMENT TO LIBERTY '09
Most likely venue will be Charleston. Perhaps a visit to the Capitol? Here's a very rough, tentative schedule:
9AM - MeetnGreet over coffee & donuts
10:30AM - Introductions and brainstorming session to come up with initial goals for the group
Noon - Lunch on your own
1:30PM - Session to refine our goals & objectives
3:00PM - Activism 101 workshop
5:00PM - Special Guest Speaker
7:00PM - Dinner/Social
Anyhow, I need to know how many would be interested and would love to entertain any other ideas/suggestions/comments. This would likely be a Friday or Saturday event.
FYI
Think you might be available within the next month or so?
Please don't call them Socialists. Call them what they are...COMMUNISTS!
Can we come from WNY???

Yes, I left you a note at the WV location. Please come to P.P. It’s easier traffic wise and a great place to visit.
The only WV politicians I know personally, are Shelley Capito, Karen Facemier and Grady Paxton. I’m guessing that none of those three are conservative enough to attend. I’m not sure about Karen, but I know that Shelley has always “low-keyed” her position on abortion. She will dance around the issue. I love Grady, but he’a a Dem. What can I say?
I’m thinking it’s probably going to be necessary for some sort of major grassroots effort in DC sometime during the next couple of months and hopefully we will be part of it. If so, I’m sure we can visit West Virginia during that trip.
We’ll be driving and I’m hoping we an visit several chapters along the way to and fro.
Bump for West Virginia.Freepers unite,Ohio is with you!Question:How do you link something to a state board page? What if we each post a link on all Call to action threads to other state boards?Maybe we can help each other out, especially those of us near state borders. On the Ohio page,we have some freepers who seem to be isolated on the edges of our state,it may be more advantageous for them to link up with bigger groups out of state? What do you guys think?
I have actually been thinking about putting this together as an eastern FReeper conference. I have had quite a bit of interest from several other states, so I think this may be the way to go.
Go for it.Operating systems? Are you an IT person?Maybe you can help out with techie skills?
If it’s Charleston, I’d be interested.
I am THE IT person. Lol.
