Taggart: I got it! I got it!
Hedley Lamarr: You do?
Taggart: We'll work up a Number 6 on 'em.
Hedley Lamarr: [frowns] I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that one.
Taggart: Well, that's where we go a-ridin' into town, a whampin' and whompin' every livin' thing that moves within an inch of its life. Except the women folk, of course.
Hedley Lamarr: You spare the women?
Taggart: Naw! We rape the shit out of them at the Number 6 Dance later on.
Hedley Lamarr: Marvelous!

America is living Blazing Saddles, except this time, it's repeating itself as tragedy instead of farce.

One of my favorite lines is coming up. “don’t do that. If you shoot him, you’ll just make him mad.”

Seeing as you are thousands of miles away ... I’m in Los Angeles ... the TV schedule may differ. ;)

With out a doubt, one of the best scenes of the movie....

” When I watched it and someone said The Sheriff is a ni-**BANG**, there was a gunshot to keep the word from being said. “
Um, that’s part of the movie. It’s part of the plot. It’s how the people don’t know the new sherrif’s a ni—— until he’s on the podium. It’s kind of the whole point of the movie. It’s funny. Very funny. Laugh now. Or I’ll have Mongo punch your cow.

Why oh why didn’t Cleavon Little’s career take off after this movie? He was fabulous and very likable.
To: Humble Servant
He’s talking about a different part. When the guy is announcing the incoming sheriff, a horn sounds when he says the n-word. They covered up the guy at the podium saying it with a gunshot.

THANK YOU for honoring my Tagline! You need to get the anniversary edition of the DVD. Between Chicago politics, Illinois politics, and all of its extensions into Washington politics, this movie is nearly a current-day docu-drama. I see Lamarr and Biden having many parallels.

AMC is spiraling downward. They are now down to about 7 minutes of movie interrupted by 2 - 3 minutes of commercials. It wasn’t very many years ago they broadcast movies entirely commercial-free. I will only watch AMC on my Tivo, and even then it is a royal pain in the arse to FF through all the commercials.

Plugged in the DVD 5 minutes into the network version...much funnier without the cuts.

2nd funniest movie ever made, right behind Mel Brooks’ other masterpiece, Young Frankenstein.
