I'm boosting my 401K withholding to have the max taken out at the end of the year - we'll just live on less for a couple of years until the GOP makes its comeback.

Considered increasing my deductions, but there will be penalties if you've had less withheld than you "should", even if you pay the whole bill in April.
I guess they use some percent difference between what you owe and what was withheld.

I'll be watching this thread for other ideas, for sure.

Not so sure this one is a good idea right now. Democrats are tinkering with the idea of meddling with the 401k and IRAs. Use caution.
