That’s not going to last long. Sales tax is already the buzz on Ebay.

Go to Craigslist. Barter.
Stock up on anything that you might need within the month, then resolve to buy as little as possible that is taxed. You need the gasoline and electricity, do you need new shoes? Or a latte in the morning?

Drop your landline if you have a cellphone. Tons of taxes paid on that. Go Skype for a landline. I think it’s still tax free.

And garage sales.

The only things I buy on Ebay are “unique” items. I bought a new driver for a blown tweeter in one of my speaker monitors a year ago.

Everything else is Craigslist, garage sales, etc. Paperback books and stereo equipment?! Virtually free!

Just a note-
Landlines are important for two reasons:

1. They are secure lines, whereas cells (and cordless) are not.
2. The corded phone generally works in a power outage, storm, etc.
