STIMULUS is one of those neutral, unexceptional words that is suddenly appropriated by politicians and debauched, so that ever after it will have connotations that are sinister, ironic and sleaze-ridden. Barack Obama's "stimulus" plan will be long remembered as the occasion when political euphemism triggered economic disaster.
There is no terminology available to express adequately the appalling irresponsibility of this naked political banditry......

Yes, this writer is obviously more familiar with the contents of the bill than any member of congress is. Some of the comments at the bottom are good, as well. I’m stealing one for my tag line.

Why is everyone so surprised about the overspending? Ever since we have had a woman in charge of the House, borrowing has gone through the roof. Ask any guy who’s been married and divorced what was a major contributor to the break up: Overspending of the credit cards. NP is acting in a way she has probably always acted...spend baby spend. We had the Decade of Greed...this is the Decade of Dolts.
And people wonder why gun and ammo sales are through the roof. In an article from Florida the NRA said that 7 Billion bullets were sold last year to American gun owners.
The average American knows what is coming and they are preparing for the worse. I pity the poor bunny that crosses that path.
