Why the time is getting short

I have a disabled son. He’s had a pretty tough go of it during his short 15 years on the earth and because of the “stimulus” hurried through Congress, it quite possibly is going to get a lot harder for him.

You see, there are tiny (huge) provisions in Title IV of HR.1 called the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act or the ‘‘HITECH Act’’. Senator Tom Coburn lambasted this act with the following press release. Under this rather innocuous title, my son’s health care needs will eventually be a cost effective decision not a safety and effectiveness decision.

As you can imagine, this doesn’t sit too well with me nor many other freedom loving parents of disabled children. After all, I’m not asking the taxpayer to pay for any of his surgery, I just don’t want the government to tell me my son can’t receive the preventive surgical care I and let me emphasize I determine he needs.

We’re going to need two things to get through this communist takeover until patriots can reestablish liberty:

1. A good black market
2. An underground economy

Throw over teacher and we’ll see if she can bounce
We’ve learned our lesson, teacher says perfection’s what counts
She’s getting old and gray and wears an ugly coat
Throw over teacher and we’ll play another game of lifeboat

Throw over grandpa ‘cause he’s getting pretty old
Throw out the baby or we’ll all be catching it’s cold
Throw over fatty and we’ll see if she can float
Throw out the retard, and they won’t be rocking the boat

“health care needs will eventually be a cost effective decision not a safety and effectiveness decision.”

This is wrong.

When the public, if they are smart enough, realizes that the left is willing to spend large amounts on gay’s, prisoners on death row and fertility treatments for welfare mothers, while letting granny die, they may have a change of heart. It’s amazing how little compassion they have when in power. Adolph and Stalin, must be burning with glee.

I have to be hopeful that the public will finally see through the liberal smokescreen.

The black market is how average, every-day Cubans survive. When I was TDY at Gitmo a few years back, one of them told me it took about two months' salary from their government-approved job to buy the equivalent of a pair of Converse Chuck Taylors. He said everyone survived by selling black market fish or "other" meat (iguana and banana rat mostly), fixing cars or motorcycles, making clothes, distilling hooch, etc.

Everyone is going to need a black market skill in the future, I'm afraid.

Thanks for you service to our country.

Unfortunately, it is we the honest, hard workers that know the least about illicit activity and know the least about using either a black market or an underground economy but who will need it the most.

This should get everyone's attention!!

“For instance, this bill lays the groundwork for a Soviet-style Federal Health Board that will put bureaucrats and politicians in charge of our nation’s health care system. In other countries like the United Kingdom, such boards have led to health care rationing and greatly reduced cure rates for diseases like breast cancer. As a practicing physician, I believe we should trust doctors and patients, not politicians and lobbyists, to make decisions about the cost and effectiveness of health care products and treatments. Greatly expanding government’s control over health care under the guise of information technology development will create a severe backlash among the American people,” Dr. Coburn said.

Take care.........pilgrim

All,

I believe the states must re-exert their rights just as we are beginning to see. Of course this was attempted around 1860 with disastrous results. Perhaps this time the rebels will be on God’s side and it doesn’t have to be a shooting war.

No one person or special interest groups of people have a chance in hell of going up against the Feds. Our only chance now is through state and local governments.

At least a dozen state assemblies have already taken the first step. I have an ideal of how we can build on this initiative in a way that will bring the federal government back into the corral the founding fathers built around it – and quickly!

SMOOCH! Thank you. I have been saying this all along. During the Carter years, there were barter networks set up everywhere, but it doesn't have to be formal. Trade your barbering abilities for somebody else's bookkeeping abilities, for instance. Yard care for car care. and so on.

You're very welcome. It was my honor and privilege to serve.

You're right, and as much as I hate to say it, we honest, law-abiding, hard-working everyday folks are going to have to develop a "shady" mindset in the future. Liberals love to call the assassination of Kennedy "the death of American innocence". Well, what innocence is left may very well die under Obamanation.

This provision will probably kill people like me. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 9 yo, I am now 48 and still in fairly good health dure to proper treatment and a lot of luck. This scares me terribly.

Wonder how they’re going to get around the laws that make practicing medicine without a license?

Liberals are oh, so compassionate when it comes to abortion for all.....’ a woman’s health choices should be between the woman and her doctor not the woman and her Congressman’. So killing an unborn child is a free choice but not being allowed to get care, paid for by much higher taxes on all, is a Government decision. Ah, I see.

I’ve heard of Americans going over to India and Thailand for cheaper healthcare. If Hussein keeps it up, they might go there just to access it.
