MSNBC's Peter Alexander concludes an interview today with the president of the NAACP by noting, "The president honors this country's colored people." Nilla! Shortly afterwards Alexander apologized, which was even more amusing.
"The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is celebrating its 100th anniversary, and a short time ago I had a chance to have a conversation with the group's president.."

absence of color
lol most likely
Stop the damn apologies.
What does the “CP” in NAACP stand for?
I guess I’m just dense, but could someone explain the difference between saying “colored people” and “people of color?”
________________________________________________
There’s no difference. Last I heard....we’re ALL Americans. But that’s going to change in the next couple of days.
Yes, it's the color of EEEEEEVIL.
(BUWAHAHAHA)
Yes ! and if you'll pardon my nerdiness, white light contains all the colors of the rainbow.
So....white skin must be the most diverse of all !!
.
The preferred term is African American.
As always, this is not about making amends for an actual offense, as much as it is about using grievance to demonstrate dominance over others.
The grievance industry must react to any such language, no matter how minor, inadvertent, and unintentional, by requiring a groveling apology. Otherwise their power goes away.
Oh...those poor, poor, put-upon bleaks! They are a very small minority you know. They can’t defend themselves. They are the butt of all jokes. Nobody likes them. It’s pitiful i tell you.
We need to raise awareness of bleak abuse.
“What does the CP in NAACP stand for?”
Chocolate people?
All Perot said was "you people", IIRC, he didn't use the "C" word.
No. White is the absence of color.
Therefore, only whites can be racist.
AA...yeah...my kids are doing AA history this month...Nelson Mandela and Bob Marley are on the list of available topics....
Maybe they’d prefer we call them “The National Association For the Advancement of African Americans”
Naaaa. Probably wouldn’t.
Black and white are not a color, so “of color” would be the the browns, the reds and the yellows...and the tans.
African-Americans did NOT come from Africa. They were born here. Let's stop this insanity!
Whites are the real colored people. Look at the different colors of hair, eyes and even skin that “white” people have. Other races don’t have near the same amount of color and diversity.
Technically “Black” is not a color - whereas “white” is the sum of all colors (go figure)
The answers:
1. Black is the absence of color (and is therefore not a color)
Explanation:
When there is no light, everything is black. Test this out by going into a photographic dark room. There are no photons of light. In other words, there are no photons of colors.
2. White is the blending of all colors and is a color.
Explanation:
Light appears colorless or white. Sunlight is white light that is composed of all the colors of the spectrum. A rainbow is proof. You can’t see the colors of sunlight except when atmospheric conditions bend the light rays and create a rainbow. You can also use a prism to demonstrate this.
Fact: The sum of all the colors of light add up to white.
