Using procedural tactics, it is still possible to provide a small filibuster against this bill.

1) Call a point of order and get a chair ruling
2) Appeal the ruling (becomes debatable) and in the Senate, debate the point of order (actual filibuster) and make a principled stand against the bill. Use this time to call out all the pork in this bill.

Eventually, the Dem’s will have enough votes to override the filibuster, but when they do ... they will OWN the bill and it will be tied to their necks.

Such tactics wont have much of a chance of stopping the bill, but it will put up in front of the public the fact that is the REPUBLICANs who are taking a principled stand against this bill-o-pork.

$15 billion to “increase and protect affordable housing“

The “prevailing wage” will be the one locally negotiated in the Home Depot parking lot.

No conflict of laws there, eh???

If I am running a bakery and I want to hire a counter person- I have to use E-Verify. If the govm’t catches me with an illegal, I can be fined $5000 per day for the time that person is on payroll.

Now, with OUR money, Pelosi and Reid are demanding that contractors hire illegals and NOT use E-verify???

Isn’t this some sort of discrimination against other businesses?
This is hardly a fair playing field.
