No conflict of laws there, eh???

If I am running a bakery and I want to hire a counter person- I have to use E-Verify. If the govm’t catches me with an illegal, I can be fined $5000 per day for the time that person is on payroll.

Now, with OUR money, Pelosi and Reid are demanding that contractors hire illegals and NOT use E-verify???

Isn’t this some sort of discrimination against other businesses?
This is hardly a fair playing field.

No, while e-verify lasts, I don't know of any federal law that requires you to use it. Some state laws do require you to use it. However, it's also possible that Obama will try to punish, either politically and/or via the justice dept., states which require e-verify.

AFAIK they only bust businesses they think are intentionally hiring them, or doing something like helping them with ID theft.

The title Democratic Leadership Requires Stimulus Job Access for Illegal Aliens is a little misleading. It means that employers using "stimulus" money do not have to use e-verify. Illegals are still supposed to be illegal, but I expect Obama to make even less of an effort than Bush to bust them.
