LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Arkansas House on Wednesday approved a bill allowing concealed handguns in churches, despite hearing arguments that lawmakers should put their faith in God, not guns.
The bill, which passed on a 57-42 vote and now heads to the Senate, removes churches and other houses of worship from the list of places where concealed handguns are banned. Currently, the only private entities where concealed weapons are banned are churches and bars.

Hopefully, Arkansas will do a Texas law and give churches the same ability as any other private establishment. That is: allow attendees to carry concealed weapons unless specifically prohibited by placing a sign stating such rule at every entrance with a lawfully proscribed sign

What a stupid law to begin with. Someone should respond to those lawmakers who said, “put your faith in God, not guns” by saying, “put your faith in God, not government.”
In our TN county, the local sheriffs office is training church members to handle situations if need be...
We have conceal carry here...
the participants are recommended by their pastors so only the pastors etc know whos carrying...

Arkansas Ping - just goes to show you I didn’t know it was specifically prohibited to conceal carry in church to start with.
So do we in Texas.....but the criminals have always had concealed carry....
