I read a book on Sable island and would like to see that, but the environmentalists have the place cordoned off to the general public

A quiet day....and any quiet day is good.
Where I grew up, all the town kids thought the house where my Great Aunts and Great Uncle lived was haunted. The place was built in the 1830's, it's ceilings were open beams and low; the place was shuttered most of the year to keep it warm in winter and cool in summer. My folks were in their '90s and looked like it.
I asked my Great Aunts, Esther and May if the old house was haunted, since all the kids in town thought so.......
They both cackled...."Not yet!"

It looks as much.
Turning into a hotel? Don't stay in room 1408! LOL
It is lovely architecture though...

It was really a pretty productive day.
I have seen & heard geese flying overhead & my heart stops every time till I figure it out! LOL
Next month will tell if they come back.

Good thread topic, AZamericonnie.
Algonquin Park is “God's Country”, and I've been to Tom Thompson's grave more than a few times. There is a big Totem pole marking it. Very cool, and a bit creepy.
Some mysteries will never be solved.
I figure most of them are solved, ‘on the other side’, if you know what I mean.
Wink, wink.
Nudge, nudge.

The Winchester House in CA....went there several times as a kid. Stairs to nowhere, door opens and you fall down a floor, teeny tiny stairs. Mrs Winchester kept building and building and building.
