For sure it's no time for moderate old men. People need to get angry. Instead, most folks I talk to are merely sad and resigned, passive, dispirited...defeated.

Its no wonder people are resigned. I just heard the top of the hour newsguy characterize the final negotiations as being frought with 'give & take' but that alas 'not everyone was onboard'.
