The left would like nothing more than to impose a __# of children per family as China has done. Their idea of Utopia consists of empowering women to kill a fetus. This incident only provides them with the ammo to end pregnancies "cause it may cost too much to the taxpayer".
What this woman has done is deplorable, stupid, and irresponsible. How we react as a society will reflect upon whether we are deplorable, stupid, and irresponsible with regard to life. Something the Left would celebrate.
A friend of mine had preemie twins who were born at 28 weeks. The hospital bill alone was $1.7 million.
Not to mention that preemies often need extended medical care throughout childhood. For eye exams and corrective lenses, heart surgery, and other ailments that come along with prematurity. Not only that, but many end up with learning disabilities in school... needing more money.
These 8 will be “million dollar babies” (EACH) easily before they turn 5.

It’s not CC debt. I saw her interview last night. She’s been living on her settlement and her student loans. She has 50K in student loans. She’s a grad student. A stupid and possibly mentally ill grad student, but a grad student nonetheless.

I feel so bad for these poor, innocent babies. They have a life of sadness and disaster ahead of them. Their mom has brought them into circumstances that no sane, clear-thinking person would ever subject their children through. So terribly sad.
Also noted, Hussein also has a daughter named Malia.
this just infuriates me as a CA taxpayer (and my wife as a Kaiser HMO member - Kaiser had to shell out $465,000 for the delivery room operation).
I am not sure if people are ready to means-test prospective parents but there is a simple solution under current law:
(1) Is the mother able to properly care for children without financial assistance?
(2) If not social services should remove and children can be put up for adoption. Given the thousands on waiting lists they should find good homes very quickly.
(3) Mother will then need to be placed in psychiatric ward, but that’s cheaper than caring for 8 kids.
(4) Remaining 6 children can then also put out for adoption, unless grandparents want to care for them.
Very simple. Minimal cost to taxpayers.
Heck if she plays her cards right...she can get another 3 or 4 kids labeled "disabled"..and rake in another $3k a month....
$5.4k a month...ain't bad money.
