President Barack Obama has proclaimed his administration will be more open than the previous administration. However, his counterparts in the House and the Senate aren’t following suit.

The Washington Post has reported that negotiations between House and Senate Democrats have resulted in a stimulus bill with a price tag of “about $789.5 billion.” This agreement raised the ire of Rep. Tom Price, R-Ga., and he went outside of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office to express it.

“My name’s Tom Price and I represent the Sixth District of Georgia and [am] the privileged chair of the Republican Study Committee,” Price said. “It’s now noon on Wednesday. I’m standing outside the office of the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. The door is closed. We just heard news break there’s been an agreement between the House and the Senate on the non-stimulus bill."

The people of this country have spoken. They have elected a president and a congress that are so heavily Dem that they don't need to allow participation, if they can just peel off 2 RINOs in the Senate (1 if Franken is seated). And, if it ever comes to pass they can't manage that, they'll just change Senate rules, so even that is not in the way.

Americans have voted to impose porkulus, socialism and all the rest upon themselves. They -- and we -- will reap the bitter harvest. There is nothing that can be done about any of it until the next election -- assuming there is enough left at that time to put back together, and further assuming the sheeple want to put it back together, which I doubt more and more all the time.

Most of the sheeple are too stupid to realize what they're doing until too late -- if ever. They'll just keep voting themselves free goodies until everything goes belly up. Prepare yourselves.

What if Republicans refused to show up for the vote and they didn’t have a quorum?

It does have precedent.....from Wiki...

Quorum-busting in the United States A prominent example of quorum-busting occurred in 2003, when the Texas House of Representatives was going to vote on a redistricting bill that would have favored the Republicans in the state. The House Democrats, certain of defeat if a quorum were present, chose not to be present in the House that day, but instead took a plane to Oklahoma, preventing the bill from passing due to a lack of a quorum. Legislative bodies often have rules to discourage quorum-busting. In many U.S. legislative bodies, such as the United States Senate and House of Representatives, if there is no quorum present a call of the house could be ordered, which would cause absent members to be arrested and brought to the floor of the body. This was the reason that the Killer D's fled to Oklahoma, which is outside of the jurisdiction of Texas law. The Killer D's effectively killed the legislation by staying in Oklahoma long enough to let the legislation expire.

The same year, the Texas Eleven, of the Texas Senate, fled to New Mexico to prevent a quorum of the Senate to prevent another redistricting bill during a special legislative session. Though the Democrats stayed in New Mexico for 46 days, one returned to Texas, creating a quorum; because there was now no point in staying in New Mexico, the Texas Eleven Minus One returned to Texas to oppose the bill with votes in opposition. The bill ultimately passed both the House and the Senate as the 2003 Texas redistricting legislation, which was ruled constitutional by the US Supreme Court in 2006, though Congressional District 23 was deemed an unconstitutional case of gerrymandering.

The technique of the disappearing quorum (refusing to vote although physically present on the floor) was used by the minority to block votes in the US House of Representatives until 1890.

Price is not my Rep, but I am also a Georgian. I love this video and think he needs to take on Isakson in the primaries. I’d never dream of Johnny doing something so bold.
