Republicans have caught the Democrats in a midnight “stimulus” power play that seeks to cut Republican conferees out of the House-Senate negotiations to resolve a final version of the Obama “stimulus” package. Staff members from the offices of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca.) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) met last night to put together the “stimulus” conference report.
They intend to attempt to shove this $1.3 trillion spending bill through in the dead of the night without Republican input so floor action can take place in both chambers on Thursday.
I spoke with House Republican Conference Chairman Mike Pence (R-Ind.) moments ago about this latest version of Democratic “bipartisanship.” Pence told me, “I think the American people deserve to know that legislation that would comprise an amount equal to the entire discretionary budget of the United States of America is being crafted without a single House Republican in the room.”
How many Senate RINOs will go along with this? Probably, just enough for the Dems to get away with it.
Or, perhaps to dream, the defeat of this entire bill and the pigeonholing of the current administration as a socialist menace.
My wife lived through my swearing at the TV set for 8 years under Slick Willie. But that was trivial.
I am not looking forward to this. There is no precedent to the danger we are in.
I truly feel that the reality of this will eventually set in. If not, there will be a hell of a price paid to recover the Nation. In lives and property.
Not surprising in so many ways. The good news, the silver lining, if there is any, is that the Democrat Congress and Executive will own this socialist travesty. They must be held to it.

As long as Obama offers free, there will be supporters in the millions. Even if he does not come through they will still believe that someday he will.
On Cspan just now, the stimulus has funds for lightbulbs. Those coiled ones. The stimulus also reads if energy companies lose money with the lightbulbs they CAN CHARGE US MORE!
So not surprised. Hell let em OWN it 100%, up the pressure on Specter, Collins and Snowe!
Not only that, have you ever read the back of those things..... literally if one breaks, you have to take HAZMAT precautions because of VAPORIZED MERCURY! The Damned things are Poisonous!

If it can be recovered. All I know is that if my father and his 3 brothers were willing to risk their lives in WWII for this country, I’m willing to do the same should it ever come to that.

Basically the meltdown was planned by Fascist Democrats to take over America. He said he would add the facts at 5 today on his FNC show.

Some brilliant negotiating. You get your 30 shekels for selling out the GOP and you can't even secure a chair at the conference committee? Brilliant!!! Does that make you look stupid or what!
The liberals are at war. Sure wish the Republicans would understand that and beginning really fighting back.
And the Democrats claim this is a bipartisan effort. It’s nothing of the sort. People need to wake up to the Democrats’ power plays.
