Oh, by the way, now that the porkulus bill has passed, I would put money on a bet that next up on the Congressional agenda will be the "Fairness Doctrine". That's another emergency, crisis situation that needs to be rushed through Congress and get passed.
They will ram through their whole socialist, Marxist agenda as quickly and as forcfully as they can.
I really expect Fairness Doctrine, Card Check, and repealing the 22nd amendment to get passed before the end of June.

I always wondered what it was like to live during FDR’s Depression. Now I’ll know.
This is not sarcasm.

Maybe Specter now that Bush is out of office. But we are stuck with the Evil Twins.
One possibility is that the coming disaster will last long enough to allow us to use them as neon signs for what not to do. That may give a more reasonable RINO a chance. Their respective states love RINOs. Maybe we’ll get a McCain. Not perfect, but at least he voted right on this one.

Interesting. If Spector has a recurrence of his brain tumor, he will die....according to federal guidelines. Nope. Some animals are more equal than others.

40k/yr job x 4,000,000 = 160 billion right? So 160 billion gets 4 million jobs?

Better yet, tear a page out of the Leftist playbook and sue every attempt to use the line items of the bill. If you could slow it down for a year or two, it might be reversed.

Being glad that a Dem senator is not a gun grabber is a problem why exactly?
You assume Freepers won’t have any interest in defeating Dems from red states who voted for this why exactly?

She was billed as a fiscal conservative- not that I am surprised by her vote.

I'm glad I didn't have a kneejerk reaction when I saw the transposed numbers ~ now, instead of frisbeeing my laptop, I can spend the day sharpening my chainsaw blades and head to town for a little R&R...

To: 4woodenboats
LOL, 4wb. Yes, I heard the transposed numbers and was shocked. The actual result isn’t a whole lot better, though. The bill was still passed through the Senate. But, the House has more questions to answer now that the national medical database “stimulus” has been uncovered. If most congressmen didn’t know this junk was in there, what other new agenda is squirreled away in the 700+ page bill?
