I’ve seen this video before. Best part is when the platoon leader gives the eyes right for the kid. Made the little guy’s day I’m sure.
Ping for the Canada list.
If only American children had half the pride in their country that this little boy has! (sigh)
The last child I knew with that kind of pride gave his life for our country in Iraq.
God Bless you Spc. Joshua Dingler - may you rest in peace!
Oh, that was so sweet! Thanks!
This needs a tissue alert. How very sweet. EYES RIGHT!

Oh my.......how precious! May all young people be as respectful of all troops, that fight for true freedom!
The little kid has a snappy salute. Is he wearing a kilt?
“If only American children had half the pride in their country that this little boy has!”
What makes you think they don’t? Thats a rather disturbing blanket statement if you ask me, and even if you don’t.

With the exception of a few (Boy Scouts and homeschoolers directly come to mind) I see too many American children showing a huge lack of respect and pride for our country. Countless numbers refuse to stand up during or even say the Pledge of Alegiance - not because of some religious objection, but just because they like to be little sh!t$ and they know the teachers can't make them. I've been to countless events where the National Anthem played and children texted their friends, or talked on the phone...never mind not removing their hats or putting their hands on their hearts.
I'm not an old woman, I'm only 37 - but I was brough up in PUBLIC school reciting the pledge, singing "God Bless America" and to this day can still recite the Preamble to the Constitution. I was taught to never let a flag touch the ground and when the National Anthem plays - to shut up, face the flag, remove your hat, and think about the words. To this day, I cannot get through the anthem without my eyes tearing up.
We have lost our Patriotic Pride! That little boy was such a "little patriot" - a reminder to those soldiers, and soldiers everywhere, of why they do what they do. That little boy couldn't wait for those soldiers to get near him - just so he could salute them with pride. When was the last time you saw an American kid behave like that?
Final note: Thank you Mrs Corven of Hilltop School for making me learn those things in 5th grade. I really appreciate what you taught me!
Inspiring. Stand Up Men of the West!
Thanks for posting.
You are killing me with this stuff AK.
So you see one segment of “American children” and think they all act that way?? The ones I see on a daily basis DON’T act that way.

Would you like to see an enumeration of our Afghanistan butcher's bill?
BTW, the people of Belgium have reason to be thankful for Canadan soldiers' contribution in WWII and, unlike some other nations in Europe, are not shy about showing it.
