Xrays, stay at the hospital, blood workups, drugs

A vet stay is almost as expensive as a person.

Before you say it... I realize the cat is old but I also live with the person who had the cat since it was a ball of fur in the cup of her hand. You do what you gotta do... at least once.

That’s why she called this morning. If it’s as bad as last time, my wife knows Kitty won’t be coming home.

Yeah, I understand that. When a pet has been with us for that long, it is not "just an animal", it's a companion and part of the family. Vet care is so expensive now! It's like anything else, you weigh the cost/benefit against how much you're able to spend and other needs.

It’s not like it used to be. I took in 2 cats for ‘some’ not all— shots and a $30.00 blood test just last weekend...it cost me over $300. I don’t buy clothes or go out or eat much.

“$3000 for a 17 year old sick cat!?”

Now I take exception to your remark. You have gone over the line.

We who have pets will go to any means to cure/save our pets even if it means going over our budget. They are part of the family. More than that, they give unconditional love, which we as humans aren’t really good at 100% of the time.

I always think there is something lacking/missing in humans when they don’t like animals. Something is just out of order in their personality.

Take this as a scolding…not that you will change your ways. But do not put us animal lovers down for spending our money to save a family member.

Angel, my 15 year old black cat, sends you his love.
