What Happened To The Greatest Nation?(Letter to the Editor)
The Bulletin ^ | February 06, 2009 | John Rosania

Posted on 02/08/2009 5:02:55 AM PST by IbJensen

To the Editor:

This is a clarion call to arms, not guns. We’ve been there and done that, but rather a call to hands and mouths in order to take back what we lived and died for.

We lived during or shortly after the “Great Depression” We fought and won World War II , fought in Korea and Vietnam freed tens of millions from dictatorial and repressive regimes, while losing millions of our fathers, brothers, uncles and cousins.

We built one of the greatest economic and strongest democratic nations that the world has ever seen and rebuilt the nations of our enemies while we were at it.

Over the last five decades, while we were working to improve our lifestyle, educate our children and plan for the rewards of a retirement without worry, we allowed socialist minded politicians and “elite academics” (in their own minds) who never did an honest days work, lived off their parents and feed at the troth of government to infiltrate our educational institutions and all levels of government to brainwash our children and grandchildren, demean the family, our Judeo-Christian values, steal our retirement, our legacy and our ability to leave our hard earned wealth to future generations.

Oh yes, not to mention these are the same (ashamed of their parents and our country) radicals, many of whom evaded the draft by going to college or joining the peace corps, marching in the streets, smoking dope, singing “Kumbaya,” gave comfort to our enemies and for the most part were responsible for our loss of the Vietnam War and the lives of tens of thousands more of our sons and brothers. Is history repeating itself?

These lying thieving, elitists, social engineers (regardless of party affiliation) are stealing our legacy and our money at the same time. As we watch, they are hocking the future of our grandchildren and great grandchildren with no end in sight. Time is running out!

Throwing our money into a never ending cesspool of failed social programs, jobs that provide excellent benefits and more unfunded liabilities. Instead of being “The Great Society,” it is now called a “Stimulus Package.”

I doubt that you will be stimulated in view of the fact that our elected representatives have been responsible for the loss of trillions of dollars of our hard earned wealth that, with tongue in check, means we may have to die earlier than we thought we would. Funny. But sad!

Time may be running out for us, and if we let it, time will run out for our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

If you are not seriously infirmed or in long term care, instead of worrying that you’ll lose your social security (another Ponzi Scheme) or your Medicare and drug program and convinced you are helpless to do anything, think back to the ’30s and ’40s. We did it once we can do it again! Take back our government and educational institutions. Don’t allow them to scare us and take our eye off the ball.

Stay focused!. Write or call your representative, senator (state and federal), our colleges and universities. They want your vote and your money. You’re not some old person whose time has past. Express you displeasure. Hold their feet to the fire. Write to the Supreme Court. They’re letting it happen while we talk but don’t walk the walk. Don’t be all talk and take no action.

Have dialogue with your children and grand children. Tell them what you did and why you did it. They won’t learn that in school. They don’t realize it yet but their future is at risk.

All you have to do is call or write. Frustrating and fruitless as it may seem, the pen is mightier than the sword.

We are truly way past the “write your congressman” phase. I email them and get vague, generic form letters in return. If I call them, some junior staffer puts a pencil mark on paper. They are beyond reach by communication.

“70 million gun owners in this country could take back our nation in a week if it came down to cases.”

The truth is that of 70 million gun owners, less than 5 percent even bother to join the NRA or write letters to protest verbally the abuse of our rights. Congress has repeatedly demonstrated that they are going to ignore the outrage of the American people and are going to continue to destroy our country at every turn. They are aided and abetted by the liberal media, and protected by socialistic activist judges. Even if by some miracle the scoundrels in Washington could be run out on rails, there is still the problem of the majority of Americans that are also too lazy, corrupt and / or stupid to contend with.
As much as I despise DemonRATs for a laundry list of reasons, I must also acknowledge that they are expertly skilled at manipulation to the point that they can apparently get away with anything and they know it.
In less than three weeks, Obama has managed to install the largest collection of scumbags ever gathered into one administration in known history. With congress firmly in control of the communists, we are in for a bumpy ride.

“....who never did an honest days work, lived off their parents and feed at the troth of government...”

(Best Seinfeld: “Whooo wrote this?”)

Let’s get your credibility back:

..who never did an honest day’s work, lived off their parents, and fed at the trough of government...

Geesh. Scary. And we wonder why the young are so ignorant?

Thank you, but I have friends who gave FAR more than I ever have, and stuff like this makes me wonder if it was worth it. Or will we surrender it all without a single shot fired?

Yup. It’s time we stop merely cussing out the “liberals in Congress”, etc., and start pointing the finger back at the sainted “The American People” (a huge buzzphrase with every politician, note). If it weren’t for TAP, we wouldn’t be in this position.

I know Mr. Rosania. A truer Patriot you will never find. How wonderful that you posted this here for all to see. I’ll be sure to tell him....if that’s not you posting this, John.

That responsibility includes moral strength, which includes NOT screwing outside marriage, period. Then there would be no innocent illegitimate children to worry about - and fewer men wishing they could roam free (and getting that wish) to let their appendages have more fun. Lack of morals is the real problem, not “women needing to be taken care of”.

Funny. That’s exactly the only quibble I had when I read his article too. We’re past writing our Congressmen or Senators. They could give a flying rats patoot what we think.

You're spot on. This is the primary reason why our culture and economy is eroding. Our Founding Fathers designed the system to be an overlay on Judeo-Christian values. Once those Christian values are diminished or abandoned, the system will not sustain itself.

Well .. I totally agree with your assessment .. however there are some major problems in getting a person like Maxine Waters out of her congresional seat.

The dems have cleverly gerrymandered the districts so that Maxine is safe - her district (Watts) is MOSTLY BLACK/MOSTLY POOR - therefore, she can do whatever she wants and the people of that area who manage to vote - will ALWAYS vote for her - because she’s black. But .. white people are racist ..??

This is one of the major problems.

I have contended for years and years that we need to have all DISTRICTS based upon COUNTY LINES. This would allow a more reasonable district. While San Diego County is very large - and the dems have tried to rig it to their advantage - I still think it would be better if it were one whole district.

But .. the dems don’t want that plan because THEY WOULD HAVE LESS CHANCE OF WINNING - and they only want to win - regardless of whether many within their district oppose them.

But you must remember that ultimately the American people, out of greed, fear, and socialism, endorse their own destruction.

With the help of the good folks at ACORN and KOS etc.

Whats the problem? harry reid and nancy pelosi told us back in ‘06, give us control of congress and we’ll change the direction of America. At that time, GDP was growing strongly, over 4%, and unemployment stood at about 4.5%

It seems that many of the “greatest generation” voted for “that nice young colored man “ who promised to change all the bad things about America and of course his people deserved a chance to have a president.

I cnanot tell yo how many old ladies I know feel smug about voting this libtard and all the other democrats into office and get really upset if anyone criticizes their creeping socialism because “they deserve a chance, we needed a change”

In other words, first the seniors saved the country, then in their dotage, many of them sold it down the river.

Right. Men who are not taking responsibility for their families. But when that happens, it’s a woman’s instinct to make sure her children survive. In the absence of the father or her own self-reliance, she looks to the nanny government for help.

” the pen is mightier than the sword.”

No it isn’t. Not by a long shot. Such a remark assumes a civility and gentility that no longer is a part of the culture of this nation. There is a time to take up the pen and a time to take up the sword; but don’t ever confuse the two.
