Lambs with guns; a dangerous combination.
The way we generate energy and conduct business in general has come under question over the course of the past decade and up for serious debate in the last month in Congress.  America and the world have relied on fossil fuels for more than a century now, and conducting business in our world is requiring more and more energy each year in order to keep our growth curves positive.  Changing entrenched systems of doing things is hard.  People don’t like to change, especially when they are enjoying as many ‘creature comforts’ as they are in America today.  How will continuing on with business a usual advance humanity, though?

America needs a new Energy Policy; one that takes the best science we have and incorporates it into legislation that is enforced through business regulations that help relieve some of the conditions resulting from planetary stress.

It seems as though the scientists, business people, and politicians of the world are at opposing ends of a triangle when it comes to the topic of climate change and its effects.  From the scientists, we get information gathered through years of observation; the data is often presented in forms not easily digested by the general public.  Let us look at some of the information being presented to us by scientists:

Excerpted because there's a Youtube video on the website and in the source code. I have the impression that any time I download one of their videos or a source with a video link, that I also download Adobe Flash Player 9 which then makes my computer run as slow as molasses. Does anyone else have that impression? P.S. That doesn't look like a gun. It looks like a pod for 2.75 inch free flight artillery rockets usually found on U.S. helicopter gunships, IIRC.

Looks like he is trolling for carbon credits. Everything he said is a lie, except that there is climate change. He should take a freshman geology course and then he would understand that it has been a fact for 4.5 billion years. Paying carbon credits to this piss ant will not change nature, but it will make you poorer. This a**hole should get a job in a McDonald’s restaurant where he can truly make a difference.

I had nothing but trouble with Adobe Flash 9. Crashed my computer ten times a day whether I was doing anything or not.

I should have read all the FReeper comments before I replied. I gave up a lot of good stuff. I replied as follows:

Bhoy: Global Warming is a Hoax. I refrain from imputing motivation to the perpetrators of this lie. Look for these sites:

Richard S. Lindzen: Climate Science: Is it currently designed to answer questions? This site shows how scientific inquiry has been subverted for political goals and the inherent danger.

Canada Free Press posted an 11-part series demonstrating the history of the myth and political implications which can be found at canadafreepress.

Anthropogenic Global Warming - Fact or Hoax? An editorial by James A. Peden, presents some of the scientific problems with the Al Gore hypothesis.

And if you search for “The Green Agenda” you will find the players and their motives. All political. All socialist/communist. All a plan by the rich & famous & entitled to destroy a world for people. “... tear down the dams and let the rivers run free ...”

You might also check out Greenie Watch.
