The despair may be a little excessive. The United States survived the Civil War. It survived Franklin Rosevelt. I dare say it will survive Barak Obama.

What was the 1860 equivelant of normalizing 20 million new socialist voters (and an average of four of their family members)?

Thats how easy it will be to transform America into Brazil.

In a post-Obama world, people will be alive and paying taxes, and it is likely there will still be a country in the atlas known as The United States, but the Republic itself will be dead and impossible to recover.

You are too optimistic I fear, we have long forgotten our roots.

“We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it.

We’ve staked the future of all our political institutions upon our capacity
to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God.”

[1778 to the General Assembly of the State of Virginia]
James Madison
