One good thing: If things continue the way they are going, I seriously doubt that Obama will be reelected. MANY Americans are upset with this SPENDING Bill and we haven’t even gotten to “regular” appropriations and the budget yet....

Show trials could be just the spark we need...

As much as Bush has been vilified, I do not believe that the American people would be too happy to see an endless show trial that would just serve to further divide the country. Despite this being a liberal’s wet dream, Obama should be smart enough to pull the plug on the notion of trying Bush and Cheney. This trial could also backfire if the US is attacked again by Islamic fascists during the midst of it, as it would clearly show that Obama’s” let’s be nice to the terrorists” policy isn’t keeping America safe.

They are initiating the purges that we should have initiated on them. Schoolyard rules are in effect, they just took our lunch money. Do we fight back against these thugs or simply let them rule the schoolyard?

I think the one thing that will make Obama hold back would be the uncertainty that this would be helpful to him politically--if he was sure the majority of the public supported it, he's be happy to push ahead. O'Reilly showed a poll recently that only 17% of Americans thought this would be good for the country. Since that 17% includes most of the media bigwigs, much of the Democratic leadership in Congress, and the activists within the Democratic party, it could happen if they could sell it to the public.
There was one of the leftwing legal pundits on C-SPAN recently (I think it was), but I forget if it was Turley or someone else, who was arguing that the correct punishment for torture is the death penalty, and he obviously thought Bush guilty. I don't think they'll go that far--even with all the comparisons to Pinochet, there is a difference between killing several thousand of your own citizens and waterboarding three terrorists (which is the main component of the "torture" allegation). I don't think the public would agree to having President Bush hanged for waterboarding 3 terrorists.

I don't think the public would agree to having President Bush hanged for waterboarding 3 terrorists. Don't be so sure.
A majority of "the public" thought it would be a good idea to elect an anti-American radical as President.

Anyone who doesn't believe that Democrat operatives weren't scouring every available Bush Administration and DoD file for "evidence" on Obama Inauguration day need only consider that one of Obama's first acts was to make it even easier access Presidential records (of former Presidents that is). And any conservative historian or conspiracy theorist who thinks that this EO will give them instant access to the records stored in the "Clinton Presidential Library and Massage Parlor" need only consider that Sandy Berger, whose unstated role in the "9-11 Commission" proceedings was clearly the removal of any file that might embarrass Arkansas' favorite son, has had his security clearance restored.

"I seriously doubt that Obama will be reelected" Hmm! Let's see:
- Acorn gets billions in the porkulus bill. Good grief! Look what they accomplished with just a few measly millions in 2008. (Look for the National Civilian Defense Force to come from here.);
- Oscumbo has made direct payback to the unions in the first 2 weeks;
- The floodgates from Mexico are about to be opened;
- Talk radio is preparing for an onslaught on the 1st Amendment;
- An amendment to the Constitution has been proposed to dump # 22;
- Billions of the stimulus will be going to at least 33 groveling states; and,
- Most of the protections against terrorism are either gone or about to go.
Now where, in this brief list of police-state developments, do you see another "honest", if any, election being held in this country?

The billions of dollars that ACORN (and there’s one other group....can’t remember the name but similar) is getting is a genuine CONCERN.

"The billions of dollars that ACORN (and theres one other group....cant remember the name but similar) is getting is a genuine CONCERN. " Consider the following:
- Currently about 110,000 Acorn nuts infesting the Nation;
- Last year's budget was about 45 - 50 million;
- In 2006 helped elect a marxist house & senate;
- In 2008 successfully elected a marxist president; and,
- Avg expected budget for next 8 years: 2 - 5 billion.
We should all be VERY afraid!
Just try to imagine what kind of power they are about to accrue and exercise!
