Wolves exhibit surplus killing behavior. They kill every calf they find, even if they don't eat them.

This guy says the Alaska should also be hunting bears since they are more of a threat to moose. Couldn't you see the heads of Judd and her crew explode if Palin now authorized the aerial hunting of bears as well.

Obama says he’s going to bring science back to the White House, even if he can’t bring it to Ashley Judd.

why does a special interest magazine get involved in politics? Boycott sponsors of this magazine.

Many people want to hunt bears — there are many more applications for licenses, than surplus bears to be shot. Not enough people hunt for wolves — that's why the aerial hunting program was needed. You're right about the exploding heads. I'd pay to see that.

The Governor is getting outflanked, and she’s being ill-advised. Hopefully, this past week will prompt her to clean out the Establishment people in her inner circle.

The issue was all the Chickens, Duck, Turkeys, & Guinea, that we raised. The dogs would occasionally escape from their swank dwellings and kill all foul in sight.....which meant that we ate foul for months......
Mom and her friend, Mrs. Hollier, would boil the water, dip and clean the kill....wrap and freeze the extra and cook the rest.
Nature has its way.....

To keep predator populations in check, the state currently has five wolf-control programs covering about 9.4 percent of the state's land area.
I swear, you would think conservation experts could at least do the math.
Wolves are not controlled in 90.6 percent of Alaska's land area.

Scientific American: Wolves exhibit surplus killing behavior. They kill every calf they find, even if they don't eat them The statement is wrong. Wolves do not kill every calf they find, even if they don't eat them. They may kill and come back, but they don't engage in wanton killing for the sake of killing as dogs who have tasted blood do.

Look, here in south East Florida there are so many wild boar and feral hogs there are a million between Stuart and West Palm.
They need to be thinned out for their own well being. And human safety.
Same as prarie dogs in South Dakota and deer in Michigan.
Fools from hollywood should make movies and shut the hell up so every one doesn’t discover how stupid they are.

Your dogs got the taste of blood, but that does not make their habits wolve like. They didn’t stalk the birds. If wolves killed every calf they found then they would run out of food. God set nature up that way.

I lived in SE Alaska for 15 years. Was fishing once we watched a Black Bear following a Sitka Deer walking on the shore waiting to give birth. When the time arrived and the deer started to calve the bear was on her and got a hold of the being born Fawn, pulled it from the Doe and proceeded to eat it. bear do have a major impact on Wildlife there.
Look up the definition of what a Preditor Pit is. Wolves need to be controlled and Aerial methods are the second best way to do it. Several Packs of them moved into the area surrounding the city I lived in, within a year they were coming in at night eating dogs and cats with a few instances of hikers being threatend by them when coming across a pack.
These are NOT FIDDO type cuddly dogs like the anti hunting groups claim they are.
